noise on the balcony and also in the room, no privacy on private pool area, if you get a room on the street side you can forget about sleeping outside even during the night (and we did not have the cheaper option). It was more silence during the rush hour on the beach.

No body lotion available in the room, the wifi was a little iffy (I think you can only use one device at a time).

The spa was really amazing and clean. It was open until 10pm. All the staff were very accommodating in the restaurant. They tried extremely hard to meet our needs. The meat and chicken was halal so this was great for us as it meant we didn’t need to stick to vegetarian options. I will highly recommend this villa and will definitely be going back again. It was just the perfect break that we needed!

Nothing the hotel was brilliant and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We left relaxed which was the reason for our stay there.

The staff were amazing. We stayed in the Gran Royal Duchess Villa which is worth the money. We were there two nights and had breakfast on one morning. The last day we left early so reception arranged for our breakfast to be delivered to our room the night before so we didn't miss breakfast. Excellent service overall. The buffet breakfast was brilliant. Lots to choose from and was a lovely setting. We listened to a lady playing the harp while we ate which was brilliant. SHe was very talented and played a variety of songs. The kitchen in the villa was well stocked with all you need. The bath was lovely and big and a nice touch were candles beside the bath The decor throughout the hotel was exceptional A surprise we found the pool lite up and night and changed colour We would highly recommend this hotel

There's al-fresco dining every Monday, something we wish we had known before committing to another restaurant that night. We'll definitely try it next time!

Wow! The hotel was absolutely stunning with breathtaking views and beautiful gardens. The Duchess villa was so spacious and had the most comfortable bed ever. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, especially Juan who made our breakfast experience super special. Can't wait to go back!

The room was delightful. Tropical feel, roomy, luxurious. Back off the road, which mattered. There is a major building site next door, which alarmed us, but actually the noise level was negligible. Loved the breakfasts. We're coming back again!

We booked a Majestic Villa, it was like a palace, lovely rooms, lovely terrace with small but nice heated pool, really nice

The terrace balcony was on to a road, although it didn't bother us much. Our villa (Sol) balcony was sunny until 3pm and then it was shaded, so we didn't get evening sun, but you could easily go to the main pool area to get sun if you wanted.

The breakfast was amazing, so fresh and so much choice. Royal villas was a relaxing oasis to come back to after a day out. The view of the mountains from the pool and our room terrace was beautiful. The quality of the rooms were excellent, a big comfy bed. We were treated in the room both for our anniversary and my partner's birthday which was s lovely surprise. Caribbean kiss smoothie by the pool so good. We made use of the gym and spa every day, which were never busy and a great start to the day, or to relax afoinf fter a day out. Dinner in the restaurant was good although not much choice, this didn't bother us as the goof we selected was good.

Would have preferred somewhere outside for breakfast and you do need a car unless you want to taxi into La Caleta which was €7. It is walkable but very high up so coming back would be a challenge

The property is the last word in luxury, very serene, an ideal spot for a secluded week. The staff were wonderful but in particular Fiona who could not do enough for us and truly deserves all the awards she has earned.

There are roads either side of the property so there is always traffic noise. We did not like the Spanish obsession with QR codes. We asked to have some information printed for us - e.g. the costs of the mini bar, the wine menu & costs for spa treatments. It would have been so much nicer to have had some brochures in the room which one would expect from a hotel of this calibre in other places. Its not an hotel for the technophobic.

wonderful stay - everything perfect- overseen by the lovely Fiona who greeted us each morning at breakfast. The choice at breakfast was very good.

We liked everything. We were utterly impressed by the Villa, swimming pools, restaurants, all facilities and the top end customer service.

Minor things...but USB ports around the villa, particularly beside the bed, please. Extra sockets in the kitchen - not possible to plug in the kettle and the coffee machine at the same time. Struggled to work out the various light switches - not obvious. Maybe slightly better lighting in the bathroom.

A great place to stay if you like a villa with the added bonus of 5 star hotel service. The villa was perfect for two people - a lovely sitting room, bedroom, glorious bathroom and a good kitchen. The plunge pool and terrace were great - we had sun all day. Good towelling robes and slippers. Great coffee machine, free water, big fridge.
