Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomCan’t think of anything I didn’t like other than I’d only booked one night, would have liked more.
It gives you a warm home welcome even before you meet your hosts and that’s generally the feel. It’s like staying with your favourite relatives. We had the suite with the huge bed with plenty of space, it has an old farmhouse feel. The evening meal was pork ribs with garlic potatoes, wow! Be prepared that when you ascend for bed, it’s quiet, very quiet. My wife and I normally wake up during the night but the sun was up before us. Whilst enjoying breakfast, we were treated to a herd of Ibex being playful just across the river. What’s not to like ?

United KingdomMy favourite hotel on our short road trip around northern Spain. Lovely location away from the hustle of everyday life. The hosts were attentive and friendly and the food was excellent. The three huskies also provide a lovely homely feeling for this rustic charming hotel. Would love to return another time. Thankyou

PortugalNothing bad to say really. It exceeded our expectations.
After a long motorbike ride while doing the Ruta de Los Puertos Asturianos we arrived at this lovely, quiet and perfectly located small hotel in the mountains, a great base for exploring the area. Suddenly we noticed the cutest furry face peeking at us from the small window on the stone wall and we fell immediately in love: it was one of the 3 huskies (the most well behaved, friendly and nice you could imagine) that welcomed us the moment we entered the garden. We had the warmest welcome by Rosa and Angel, immediately setting the tone for a very pleasant stay. They were extremely nice helping us with hints and suggestions on where to go and what to see and the best routes to take if we had the time. The feeling we had was that we were visiting old friends: talking about dogs, music, books, dogs and plants was a privilege, hanging out with the dogs, Queen, Michael and the cute sleepy senior felt like home. Our room and bathroom were immaculately clean and fresh, spacious enough for the two of us, with a big window facing the creek and mountains. The room does not have AC but in June and in the mountains that was not a problem and the central heating during the colder months must be perfect. The property is beautiful and beautifully kept, the traditional house is full of charm that combined with all the lovely details and pieces decorating the space translate into an even more interesting experience. The entire space is extremely clean and welcoming It is possible to have meals if booked in advance and we had a delicious dinner: first course avocado and salad, second course salmon teriyaki and for dessert cherries. We had a fantastic breakfast, everything fresh and with a good variety of products. Angel and the lovely Rosa always making sure if we wanted or needed anything else. The parking is just in front of the hotel. The location is perfect, making it a great base for exploring the area. Our only regret was that we only stayed for a night!

United KingdomThere is nothing we didn’t like. It’s not well-lit but this is a mountain dwelling of some age so you should not expect bright lights - nor, for that matter, an extensive restaurant menu: the nearest supermarket is probably a long drive.
Its location. There may be wilder and more remote places to stay in Spain but this Posada, nestling among the rugged 2000m mountains where the natural parks of Somiedo and Babia y Luna meet on the border of Asturias with León takes some beating. Walk a few steps down or across the quiet road and, depending on the time of year and day, you may encounter Chamois clambering for salt licks, Dippers in the River Sil (close to its source), Golden Eagles soaring to and from an eerie on the nearby cliff, and an abundance of wild flowers. Returning from an early morning stroll the owner asked if I’d seen the bears. I didn’t but there are, evidently a couple on the mountain behind the Posada. The owners were friendly and helpful and made us a splendid supper (accompanied by some very fine local wines) and breakfast. I wish we could have extended our stay but this was an overnight stop on our journey from Santander to Galicia, near Sanxenxo. The spectacular drive along the AS-227 through the Somiedo natural park should be counted as part of any experience when staying at Rincón de Babia.

United KingdomNothing, would recommend this small hotel whole heartedly. The one caveat is that its quite remote and there are no other facilities in the village, this is a plus for us but not for everyone.
An excellent stay at this renovated granary. All changes to a high standard, rooms very comfortable, food was great too. Have stayed here before and wouldn't have used it again if it didn't measure up, it does. The proprietors deserve extra praise for their welcoming and attentive service.

United KingdomA better reading light by the bed would be appreciated, also a chair for the desk/ table.
This place is nicely out of the way, which always suits us. The welcome was good, and the downstairs lounge area is spacious and comfortable. The room was small but adequate, likewise the bathroom. We had pre booked dinner, which was good but rather rich for me, though my husband rated it the best meal so far this holiday. It was good value. Breakfast was also good.

CanadaOur bikes were stored outside (though it was a very secure location). Not the fault of the owners, but we were woken up a fair bit by somebody snoring in another room as sound transmitted easily (but it's an old house, which has great charm, so not that surprising). Wifi was not that strong and there was no cell coverage for us there. There were also no hiking trails from the location, most started 2.5km further up the road. Dinner was served at 9pm and there were not a lot of other options close by.
Given the rating of this hotel we thought that it would be absolutely amazing. The hosts were very welcoming and there was very good common spaces. The bed and the room were very comfortable. The surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful. So we felt it was certainly very good, but not amazing.

United KingdomNothing, everything was brilliant.
Amazing location, close to lots of walks, viewpoints and towns. The hotel is beautiful and really comfortable. The rooms have plenty of space, hot and powerful showers, and great views (we saw ibex and various birds from our window). Great spots nearby for bear/wildlife watching. It's a really relaxing place to stay, and lots to see. The owners are lovely and make you feel at home. They offer dinners in the evenings, Rosa makes something different every night - everything was delicious. Super breakfast too. We would happily have stayed a lot longer and want to go back.
