The shower is small difficult to get in and out.

Watch your head if you’re tall and in the fourth floor. It would also be good to have sone kind of curtain to block the skylights in the morning.

Just about everything. The owner takes pride in everything she does - from greeting you, showing you to your room, presenting an amazing breakfast, to seeing you off. The building is fabulously restored and there are a couple of good restaurants nearby in an otherwise tiny pueblito. I rarely give a 10/10.

We liked everything

The name of the hotel speaks for itself. We were under the protection of angels. The decor of the hotel is amazing. Everything was done to match the century before last, you feel like you’re in a fairy tale. The staff is very attentive and friendly. In the common room you can drink tea or coffee from fine china cups at any time. Absolutely homely atmosphere.

The hospitality was wonderful. Special thanks to Innes for taking care of me on arrival and another lady getting me fresh brewed coffee in the breakfast room. The big area on the second floor was a relaxing space where a person could have tea. Breakfast was delicious! A beautiful haven during on my Camino.

Friendly staff, Maria Jesus in particular was so kind and helpful as I arrived very early by car due to injuries incurred walking the Camino. I was able to access the room 4 hours ahead of schedule. Lovely hotel, nice room and bath. Quiet living room. Delicious breakfast. Helpful with arranging a taxi.

Gorgeous gorgeous building. My room looked over green fields with small hills in the distance. So very quiet. My bathroom had a tub/shower with jets in the tub!! I am walking the Camino, so it was heavenly to have that jetted tub. Just too old-world beautiful with a great restaurant just a block away! Breakfast at the hotel was quite lovely, as well. So many choices!!

Great breakfast buffet and very friendly staff. Loved the hot bath after a long day of hiking the Camino. The hotel is right on the Camino. They don't have a restaurant but there is a restaurant nearby where they serve dinner.

This was one of the most lovely stays on our Camino. The building is gorgeous and the warmth of the woman who runs the posada is a delight. In the evening she places candles on the stairway to the rooms! The common sitting room is lovely and the buffet breakfast was beautiful and delicious. This posada is a true gem in Cantabria.

We LOVED everything!

Fabulous! A real treat in a wonderfully reformed property, with a warm, kind, friendly owner, after a long day hiking the Camino, we couldn't have arrived at a better place..it felt luxurious. There's a decent restaurant to get dinner, one minute away, AND included in the price was a wonderful breakfast, with SO MUCH choice...all of this in a beautiful area of Cantabria and close to Santander..delighted to have chosen to stay there

We did need to ask that the heat be turned on in the early evening. When we returned from dinner a few hours later, the radiators were cold again.

Lovely place, there was even a sitting room with tea available. Breakfast was great!

Floorboards creak a bit too much

I stayed one night in this beautiful hotel while walking the Camino. It is conveniently located if you take the route through Güemes. The house seems old but was beautifully renovated in an authentic way. I really liked the exposed stone wall in my room and the authentic wooden furniture. Everything was very clean. The manager/owner was very friendly. Highly recommended
