Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI arrived during the night - Lifts were broken ( fixed on day 4 of a 6 day stay ) - receptionist informed me that I would have to walk down 4 flights of stairs with suitcases to ground floor room with no offer of help as he stated he had to stay at the reception Given an information newsletter on arrival - it did not inform guests of hotel policies e.g location of breakfast , essential pre booking of restaurant ( open to non residents and booked weeks in advance) , availability of room service or not , how to get down to the port etc. Only one flat pillow provided and mattress too firm , no iron in room Terrace room great for access to pool area but our room was on the main walkway to pool with pool bar diners tables/ chairs directly situated outside our terrace - had to keep terrace curtains closed for any type of privacy No apparent rules for pool sun area use - sun bed reservation happening with guests leaving towels on beds even when they had left the pool for the day which meant that other guests couldn’t take the beds- maybe pool etiquette should be added to the newsletter eg not to reserve sun beds and to remove your towels when finished , also pool bar ordering- I was told off by the bar man as I tried to order from the bar instead of from the waitress which I was unaware of As the hotel is on a hill a good level of fitness is required for the multiple steep steps and road which links the hotel to the bay - only alternative would be a taxi costing €8 - a shuttle bus would be a great option
Decor - very relaxing but yet always something of interest to look at Pool area has more than enough sun beds for everyone Views from top sun terrace and restaurant of mountains and bay are stunning Terrace bedroom provided easy access to pool area

Canadaparking was always an issue, while understandable given the limited real estate, but felt like every time we went out that there was some anxiety on whether or not we'd find a spot when we got back to the resort.
everything was honestly great, great amenities, great staff, great rooms, great extra features (bikes, SUP boards, water bottles, etc.)

United KingdomPerfect location, cool boho decor and the friendliest staff. I couldn’t fault our stay! Our room was cosy and very clean and smelt amazing each time the cleaners had been in. We did roof top yoga in the morning and finished off with a beautiful morning breakfast selection overlooking the port. The vibe of the hotel is very relaxed and zen which is exactly how we felt after our stay! I would definitely recommend booking!

United KingdomRooms were quite small. It was a bit of a scrum to get a sun bed; people woke up early to lay their towels out before heading to breakfast. There is also quite limited shade on the sun beds; they didn’t have any umbrellas you could put up/down to get a bit of both.
The whole hotel is decorated beautifully and makes you feel like you’re in a luxury hotel. The food at breakfast was great with a good range of healthy options too. The pool was lovely and big so you never felt on top of anyone. The poolside bar waiters were really attentive with drinks, and they make good cocktails! The food served at the poolside bar was also delicious. Great location with only a 5 minute walk until you reach the town.

United KingdomSlightly annoying guests who unbelievably were up super early to claim sunbeds, even though there are ample for everyone and disappointed the hotel didn't try to enforce their 'no reserving sunbeds' policy - people can be so weird. You can only watch TV if you speak German, small thing but a bit strange. There was a rowdy wedding crowd the day we arrived which the staff didn't seem willing or able to control so the vibe that first night wasn't good - felt sorry for the staff and the other guests.
We loved our room in the separate part of the hotel, which had great views across the port and a hammock for chilling. The decor was fun and the vibe was good. The restaurant was great for breakfast and we ate dinner there, glorious views.
