Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

New ZealandHad a great stay in this hotel. 100 metres from Plaza Mayor. Such a great location. Staff were excellent. We had an issue with our shower when we arrived and were upgraded to a better room. Thanks to staff for sorting this out.

PhilippinesWhile there is an elevator you need to climb a set of 7-8 stairs to access it as well as 2 flights down to the basement/coffee station. While not a dealbreaker for some it is not clearly stated and I would hesitate to book the hotel if this is a concern.
Great place located less than 1 minute from the Plaza Mayor and a short walk to Sol with lots of public transportation options (metro and bus). While there is no restaurant at the hotel there is a basement coffee station with free coffee, tea, water, juice, simple pastries, & fresh food that’s available 24/7. Also, there are multiple food options, including a cafe (Salt in Cake) right next door. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and held my baggage both before I checked in and after check out (before my late night flight).

Location is wonderful, in the heart of Madrid & very accessible to all means of transportation. Bed is very comfortable & staff is friendly & helpful. They used to leave a small bag on daily basis with water & some dessert to start the day with. Nice coffee corner with biscuits & fruits for free.

the little breakfast package hung on the door in the morning was a lovely surprise. the hotel was central to a lot of local amenities. the room was simple and minimalistic while giving everything that we could want or need. their aim to avoid single use plastics is very admirable. the air conditioning is always a bonus.

United KingdomThe hotel is a bit of a maze - lots of stairs up and down and you need to get up a short flight of stairs to get to a small lift (not great if you have bigger suitcases). The decor is also all over the place, it doesn't seem to be very consistent in the loby/ hallway areas and looked very different to our room decor. Our window/ balcony opens to the main road/ noisy street - luckily it got quiet at night so we could sleep.
The room was spacious, simple and clean. They even provided us with a free upgrade which we were thankful. We also liked the fact they left a small bag of baked goodies int he morning even though we stayed only for one night. They have a coffee station with fruits, cookies, juices, coffee and tea (buried on one of the floors) but it was a nice they have this available for guests. It's well located and easy to get around from as taxis generally go there. We were also surprised the reception desk is 24hrs and they have a more generous checkin and checkout times than other hotels. The room has plenty of hooks to hang your belongings!
