- there is no physical “Key” to enter: you need to have a phone with an internet connexion at all times to enter both the building and the apartment. There is also no way to lock yourself in (if you have small kids, be aware that you cannot lock the door to prevent them to go out of the apartment!). After I insisted a lot and told them it was very unpractical for us, they told us there was a physical key but it could only be used in case of emergencies and couldn’t be used to open or close the apartment. We ended up using the building key every time as the WiFi was out of range. For us it was a mess with only one key, a family of five with a teenager who didn’t have a paid plan for Spain, literary could not exit the building because they couldn’t get back inside, or have any kind of independence. It was also complicated to organize between parents as our phones got blocked for some reason and we had to stress out about being locked out with two small kids, and had to coordinate for one of us to have the key when getting out while the other parent didn’t have any way to renter when being out . - another big problem is that the apartment is very dark, even in the middle of August, at noon, in plain sunshine, there is almost no natural light and you have to turn the lights on. - There were a couple of things to fix: a light fixture hanging from the ceiling on top of the table, with no light bulb and cables not connected - a hole in the sofa bed - the sofa bed was not easy to make and stay stable (lifting in the middle)

- The location was perfect, right next to San Miguel Market (about 30 second walk). - The apartment was comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities required for a family stay (laundry, microwave, a bit of soap), shelves for clothes.

Reservation agents were so helpful and kind and all instructions about apartment given were clear and easy. Location was perfect for weekend break, just few steps from Plaza Mayor. Highly reccommend this accommodation.

Bath towels could be more thicker.

Location was the highlight of our stay. Right next to San Miquel food market and Botin, perfect for our foodie tour. Apartment was clean and spacious. Great size fridge for the chilled drinks after an exhausting day in the heat. Netflix was a perfect wind down after a bustling day. Would highly recommend this stay.

Everything was great however would be nice to have a tea towel for the kitchen and also a manual how to operate the washing machine / dryer . Not a criticism just a suggestion .

The location was fabulous . Nice to have a living area where you can relax after a big day sight seeing . Fully air conditioned . Great having a friendly concierge on the ground floor .

Not much natural light since the rooms faced an interior courtyard. We had trouble once with the electric key but it was our fault since our son unplugged the internet connection, but in the future a better explanation of this would be good since it is new to most travelers.

Great location, nice rooms with good facilities. Nice lighting and comfortable beds. The hosts were responsive when we locked ourselves out late one evening.

Lovely apartment, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Great location beside the Mercado de San Miguel and Plaza Mayor with lots of restaurants and bars. Madflats extremely helpful especially when our transfer to airport fell through, they organised a pickup for us at short notice. Excellent service, will definitely stay again.

The communication was poor. We just needed to be able to know where to find the key and how to leave our luggage prior to check in as our flight was early and we were all tired and wanted to drop our luggage. This wasn’t smooth as we couldn’t back through. Texting in advance / when payment is taken, with check in information world be a vast improvement on the experience. It created a lot of stress for us non Spanish speaking tourists

The apartment is on tbe second floor, but the floor very noisy as you walk around the house and the water tap too, so you can hear that from your bed room . So you get this problem specially during night time.

Difficult to work out where the apartment was. But the instructions were actually very good. No pillowcases on spare pillows. No shower gel. No basics like salt and pepper.

Location was fantastic! Very central and restaurants all around. Keyless app entry was good once we worked it out.
