Booked for 4 people and two rooms They only had 2 people and two rooms small confrontation over this which start holiday correctly and because of this only had two males and our room was not up to standard which we manage to change but no thanks to booking.com

Breakfast was included in our price & there was a fantastic choice apart from FRESH juices . I feel there should at least be fresh orange juice. Restaurant for dinner is not very cosy .

The location is great - close to the beach, shops & bus stops & taxi rank right outside the hotel. The sitting area outside is very comfortable & a great position to people watch . Drinks are great value for money. The food in the restaurant is good & great value specially with the 20% voucher you are given by the hotel. My only criticism of the restaurant is that it isn’t cosy, it is a bit sterile.

The room gave a little bit of a prison vibe. (Not that i've ever been in Pen, I might add). It's all very wipe clean, lacking anything that gives it any extra comfort. The decor of the rooms are reminiscent of a bathroom renovation in Changing Rooms circa 2004. White and Aqua. The pool area is pretty small and loses light quite early due to the high fences.

You can't beat the location if you're looking to stay in central Santa Ponca. The staff are pretty friendly. The Pina Colada's are good. You're in walking distance to the beach, The Godfather themed Italian restaurant, and the local shop which sells Samuari Swords.

The restaurant attached to hotel doesn't serve food until 5pm so if you are at the pool you have to get up and go out. No option to eat by the pool or at hotel. Cocktail bar is reasonable HOWEVER staff do not like you ordering at the bar, they dont want you taking drinks to your room with the hotel glasses and in general you are made feel like you are hassle for wanting a drink. You arent able to order anything from the bar before 11.30am (that includes coffee and soft drinks as well as alcohol). They won't serve you after 11pm. Just felt like Rules, Rules and more Rules... we are on holiday for crying out loud, felt more like I was at school. Nothing about ordering a drink here feels relaxing. Waiting for 20 mins outside on the terrace for an order to be taken is so annoying, if I want to order at the bar to get a water, I should be able to, I am paying after all. Understaffed bar is what causes this issue. They also have 10% off bar for hotel residents but even though staff know you are a resident they don't tell you this or give you the discount. 20% off restaurant but that is more publicised. Room was serviced everyday - bed made and new towels however didn't give us new shower gel, soap or shampoo at all apart from first day. Had to go buy shower gel as was sick of asking. If cleaners are in the room, can they not replenish these products? This is the basics of a 4 star hotel. Room I felt should have had a deeper clean every few days than it did. Never brushed floors the entire time we were there. Rooms aren't soundproofed at all and you can hear everyone who walks down the hallway as if you left the door open. So loud. Really struggle to understand how this was a 4 star hotel with all the negatives noted above.

We had a massive terrace overlooking the pool which was brilliant. Room was ok, nice bathroom. Other rooms are alot smaller so vary complain about our room. All very clean on arrival. Bed was super comfy and for once it wasn't 2 single mattresses pushed together. Nice touch giving a glass of bubbly on arrival. Location is really good, lots of good restaurants and shops close by. Breakfast was nice although literally ends at 10.30am on the button. Towels given for the pool which was great. Saves packing one Adults only is great. Very peaceful. Lots of sunloungers. Aircon in bedrooms is great, just remember to close terrace door to activate.

The half board arrangement with neighbouring bistro was disappointing as only had two options for meal ,could only be serve by hotel staff ...felt like an inconvenience The breakfast was good though

Despite speaking to Reception on 3 occasions the air conditioning was totally inadequate as the temperature in the room was unbearable. We asked for a fan but told none available. We had a suite but had to keep the curtains closed but the room was still unbearably hot. We toured the island and stayed in other hotels which had effective air con. This is a disappointment for a 4star hotel.
