Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe hotel was full of German football groups. Mostly male groups, very loud at night and the hotel seemed to be in the middle of the area where they all gather. No violence, just loud singing and banging doors til 5am.
Good views, good food, lovely pool.

GermanyWe knew what area we gonna be in and were prepared for noise at night, but the rooms and balconies looked way better online. The rooms are cheaply updated and you can see damaged doors etc. everywhere. Gym doesn’t open till 8 am. No water at the gym. The main areas were pretty clean, the room not so much.
Great location if you want to go to Ballermann, compared to other hotels it seemed the most updated. Breakfast had a good variety. Multiple pools and gym was ok.

United KingdomEveryone is German so I felt a bit out of place especially being a young female travelling alone (I was the only English person staying there it seems apart from an Irish couple and a few French). There was a lot of German groups around late 20s to early 30s misbehaving day and night and I witnessed the receptionist telling them off and getting fed up of their behaviour (being extremely loud, slamming doors day night and acting silly on balcony) at one stage in the day time a female receptionist went out and told them off as they were shouting at people passing in the street (see other reviews as it appears this is a common theme at the hotel). There was one guy at the end of my corridor screaming in German throughout the day and night and slamming doors. A lot of the German male groups kept approaching me and saying inappropriate comments at they knew I was British and could most likely see I was a young female travelling alone. I would say do not stay here if you are a young British single female as you will feel out of it unless you can speak German! They have night time security so I think that says a lot. This area is a German area - didn’t see any British people the whole time I stayed in the area.
I liked the spa, the staff were friendly, the food was amazing. The hotel is beautiful. I got an upgrade to a sea view room which I am most grateful for.

CanadaThe noise. The price.
We were upgraded to a room at the top level with a view of the beach, which was so nice! But I can’t imagine how bad the noise would have been had we been on a lower level because we barely slept due to all the noise from the streets and from the drunk neighbors in the hallways. I suppose that is expected in this area? The breakfast was surprisingly delicious and they gave out free sparkling wine to those people who wanted to keep the party going. They let us keep our luggage on site until our late flight.

RomaniaThe rooms are very noisy until very late at night and early in the morning.
The room was really modern and comfortable, the breakfast very good and varied. Access to the spa was included, although we didn't have time to use it. Free parking can be easily found near the hotel.

LuxembourgAll good in general terms, just something that I didn't know about the location and that I would like to tell to others who might not know either is that apparently there is a German community in Mallorca. As a result, in Platja de Palma where the hotel is located everything around is in German. The street advertisments, the menus, the restaurants, the food, the music, the TV channels, everything! It is just that when you don't know about it, it comes as a bit of a shock, as this area doesn't feel like Spain anymore
We got a room with side sea view, it was very nice! The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast very complete, and the staff was very polite and helpful. Easy access to the city of Palma and the airport by bus or taxi. We were very satisfied by our stay !

United KingdomThe dress code at dinner. There was a large amount of guests who clearly made an effort to dress smart or smart casual. While a group of younger guests wore tee-shirt and baseball caps. Tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom would be welcome.
The range of food offered at breakfast and Dinner was very good and freshly prepared. Friendly staff. A very clean and tidy hotel. Bedroom was very clean and spacious.

United KingdomThe breakfast had a fantastic range, however all the hot food was cold! Disappointing really in a 4* hotel! The rooms were very clean and comfortable, however the pillows were awful, hard and lumpy!
The hotel location was perfect, easy access to the beach and restaurants. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and we felt they went above and beyond for us.

EstoniaThere was a sign on the door of the inner pool that children under 16 are not allowed, but the warm inner pool was actually one of the main reasons we chose this hotel (when travelling with a baby). Luckily, we were allowed to go there and were almost always the only guests there. The hotel room was very noisy due to the music and parties on the street (but obviously the hotel can not do much about it). Also, the bathroom could use a small renovation.
The view was great and the chair on the balcony comfy, also the breakfast and dinner buffee were delicious, there was a wide range of various dishes. The personal was very nice and friendly. There were also chairs for the babies in the restaurant and baby's bed was arranged in the room. The inner pool was warm and spacious. All in all, a nice hotel.

United KingdomBreakfast could have been served until a little later and unless you pay for a sea view room, you risk being close to the back of the hotel where it is noisier. Also perhaps the staff should monitor sunbed usage a little more as there were a lot of "towels on empty sun beds" when we weren't able to find one.
Lovely clean pools and spa area. Cocktails in the pool bar were very good and served quickly, not as expensive as the surrounding area. Housekeeping and reception were polite and efficient.

South AfricaAir-conditioning in the room struggled although it was hot 36 deg. Small elevators so difficult to get up and down during peak periods. Although not the hotels fault because we travelled in early summer (end July) many groups of young people on summer break so a lot of noise through the night
Breakfast and dinner buffet was great. Good swimming pools with plenty of space. Great location right on the beach and great restaurants attached. Secure onsite storage for my bicycle - did not have to keep it in the room

United Arab EmiratesThe air-conditioning was bad. It kept having problems. First day it wasn't cooling at all. Then they repaired it the next day, and there was water dripping. Rooms were a bit small. There was a lot of noise from the neighboring streets ( partying ,screaming, shouting)
The location was exceptional. It has 2 beautiful restaurants. The indoor pool was my favorite with the jacuzzi. Staff was smiling and helpful. Great view from the room

BulgariaThe only disadvantage of this hotel is the noise as it’s close to a lively street full of germans. Already planning to come back.
Loved every minute of it. Me and my friend just checked out of the hotel. We had such a great time. When we arrived the upgraded us with a deluxe room with a sea view which was amazing. The service was extraordinary, the staff is constantly trying to satisfy everybody’s needs. The hotel in general is well-located, first line, beach facing. The rooms have been cleaned every single day. We have had paid for a breakfast which was delicious, great variety of food. Of course, the enormous amount of food options was the same every single day but that’s what I expect from a 4star hotel, I mean you can’t expect the same as a 5star one. The reception administrators were so kind, calling taxies for us every day and helping with whatever they can.
