10 minutes walk to the railway station car park (the hotel is in a pedestrianised part of the old town). No reception, but fellow hotel a few doors down had a 24 hour reception so I could pay for my parking there. Very good communication via text throughout.

Central location in old town so very handy for restaurants (of all descriptions).

No air conditioning just a fan and the windows lead to a smelly corridor with no view. There was only one hand towel and no washcloth. You will only get your code to enter at about one hour before check in after the room is cleaned.

Excellent location with easy access to transportation. Plenty of excellent restaurants, bakery, grocery store adjacent. Short walk to shopping and sites. Recommend renting a car and going to San Sebastián for a day. Nice shower and bed.

Never been to Bilbao before. Arrived early morning on the ferry in torrential rain. Tricky drive from the port to the old town, but it worked out very well. The pre booked secure parking was close to the hotel and the communication from Casual by WhatsApp was excellent. The building was secure and classy .

Some of the rooms (#5) was oriented towards the inside with it's windows. While it did make the room quiet, there was barely any natural light, even during the day, making it feel somewhat claustrophobic.

Very central, very clean appartment, all facilities needed, and checkin process was easy and quick.

When we were there temperatures topped 40 Celsius in the city and the room got a little hot. There were fans though which really helped and we'd had a warning message beforehand.

This place advertised with available parking and charging for electric cars. The truth is that there is a public paid parking garage nearby (5-10mins walk) which has chargers. That should NOT be advertised as if it's part of the hotel, though.

I prefer rooms with windows that open to fresh air. This one opened to a dark central atrium. It was fine, I just missed having good ventilation. The fan was helpful, once I discovered it. The fan is in the light, and I did not see that during the first night.

It was easy to check in and check out. Room was clean and well furnished. I liked that I had a kettle so that I could make tea and hot coffee. A small fridge was also available. Good location in the old town.

WiFi inconsistent, could not use safe as messed up setup, no instructions provided in room, cleaner did not open it despite being informed. Cleaner only made beds did not supply new cups, glasses or coffee/tea for second day

Very uncomfortable bed, very chreaky. There was hot in the room, the portale clima did not cool well and was to laud for night.

Parking was in a nearby underground car park & comes with a discount for its use. We were meeting up with family & ended up having to rush to leave, neglecting the discount, so it would be wise to organise it beforehand. The shower door wasn't a great fit, but that's nothing to complain about

The street can be a little noisy and if the front door is slammed shut it can be felt/heard in the building but that is really up to other guests to be thoughtful coming in late at night. Also I think you have to accept noise when you stay in such locations.

Lovely room with refrigerator, microwave and kettle in a great location in the old town. Staff were really helpful and responsive. Lots of bar for pintos and wine nearby.

The lighting was super bright white and unpleasant. It was hot in the room and I wanted to sleep with the fan on but it was impossible to keep the fan on but turn out the lights. Perhaps it was my fault? But I couldn't figure it out. It was possible to hear a lot of noise from the neighbors, but that was pretty standard for my entire trip.

I didn't spend much time here - just showered and slept. It was comfortable, pretty clean, and easy to find. Wish I had more time in Bilbao but didn't work out.

Fan didn’t work and it wasn’t safe to leave windows open overnight as they were on level with an inner courtyard so it was quite hot. Also would love two single pillows like in photo rather than the one long Spanish pillow!

Last minute booking, our room wasn’t anything like the one in the photo, basically a small student halls type room, but location couldn’t be better and it was very clean and quiet. Easy self check in.

No fans to keep cool at night. It got very hot in the room and we had to keep the window open which then was noisy.

Great location for the old town. If you are a light sleeper I would suggest some ear plugs as you are overlooking a street. Comfortable and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful and gave us a good recommendation for traditional Basque food…Rio Oja restaurant.

Check in was confusing, a heads up that we would receive an access code on the morning of checkin would have been helpful. The room was much smaller than depicted in the photos. Voices from the hallway echoed into our room, making it quite loud at times.
