We didn’t like the parking situation, though we recognise that with the position of the hotel there is nothing they can do about the parking. Also we thought it was quite expensive at €27 a day with just a small discount via the hotel. We didn’t find it easy to find the parking and then had the walk to the hotel with our luggage, longer than two minutes!! It’s a massive car park. We were on level two underground. My advice would be to remember the number of your parking space and the position of your exit above ground!!

The Aldamar is in an excellent position for exploring San Sebastián. It was nice to have coffee, tea and biscuits provided at any time. We loved our room, the Junior Suite, a large room with a seating area with coffee table. It overlooked a boulevard so was a great place to sit and ‘watch the world go by’. Staff were very friendly and helpful and everything was very clean.

This is a pension, not a full service hotel. However, for what it is, it is superb.

The location is excellent - on the Boulevard with short walks to excellent restaurants/cafes with easy access to public transportation in the beautiful old areas of the city.

Nothing it was fantastic! I would however like to note that there is no staff after 8 pm. I barely made the check-in but wondered what would have happened if something went wrong and could only check in after that time. Just something to be mindful of.

This lovely hotel was close to EVERYTHING. I took the bus from Bilbao to San Sebastian and the bus stop/ Renfe "train station" were both walkable to this hotel. It was within walking distance of the water, lovely shops, bars, and even the markets if you wanted to buy groceries. My room was lovely and the huge balcony was a major bonus and worth it if you ask me. There was free water and drinks in the refrigerator, which is always a nice touch. There was no breakfast but there was an all-you-can-drink yummy coffee that was available in the open area. The front desk people were lovely and gave me great recs and helped me figure out my taxi situation when I needed it. Would totally stay again and recommend it.

Location brilliant between the old city, the beach and the modern shopping district. Nearby subsidised parking a major plus, in fact a necessity if you're driving. Room nice and had a balcony with views of the city. Free coffee and mini bar (yep free!) totally unexpected and welcome. Staff (Oscar) friendly and helpful.

I though the room would be a little bigger, like the one in the photo but it was quite small and my bags had to go under the bed, otherwise you wouldn’t be able to move around to the room to go to the bathroom.
