The bed was not very comfortable. Creaking every time you moved. Furnishing needs an upgrade along with paintwork on wardrobes . It would benefit from tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Loved the historical building with the beautiful internal patio. The food from the cafeteria was very good and service with a smile. We got parking outside the door for only €4.50 for 24 hours with a coupon from the hotel. Great proximity to the centre of Zafra.

Smell of sewage in our rooms. We traveled with another couple and they had the same issue.

Dining experience was difficult for my vegetarian wife. We wished we had eaten in the bar but did not realise that was an.option until we were already seated in the restaurant

Location excellent. Parking was immediately outside entrance and at 5 euros for 24 hours an excellent price. Character of parador as good as expected. Helpful and welcoming reception. . As with most paradors we loved the character and sense of history. Excellent room The courtyard coffee area was lovely.

I do not understand why so many hotels prepare beds so that to get in you must destroy all the layers and then put it back together again in a sensible way. It would certainly help if they used fitted bottom sheets but even still there has to be a better way.

What can be better than staying in a former castle! The overall parador is outstanding, of course, though the individual rooms are not much better than any high-end hotel. The restaurant is superb, which is a general feature of the Spanish paradores.

The double bed was actually two individual beds put together, which makes it quite unconfortable.

Parador de Zafra is an amazing property, steeped in history. Our room was fantastic and so spacious, the restaurant was amazing with some of the best food we have ever had! The pool was great & such a bonus after a long drive. The property is well located for a walk around the town Would have no hesitation in booking again if we are in the area

Air conditioning is switched off in October and perhaps earlier in Paradors in our experience. Same applies early season, and not weather dependant. Not suitable if you like a cold room.

Location and parking excellent with 5 euro charge by city. Ideal location for centre of town evening walk, town squares, cafes and restaurants. Good feel to hotel and fair prices for food and drinks.

Nothing, it was excellent. The only thing we were slightly unhappy with was that the Dinner Menu was a selection of very rich food. Although not a vegetarian, I do enjoy a non-meat meal but the offering was very limited.

Of all the paradores we visited. (Zafra, Merida, Trujillo, Toledo and Avila) this was the most iconic. It's a beautiful building in a good location. Our room was beautifully presented.
