Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe Parador is located outside the city itself, which wasn't a problem, but visitors should be aware that it is a 10-15 minute taxi ride into Toledo or an hour's walk involving a fairly steep climb. However, its location means that the panoramic views from the hotel are second to none.
This was, beyond doubt, the most spectacular hotel we have ever stayed in. We had a wonderful room with a terrace, from which we had panoramic views of the whole of the city of Toledo. The room was classically beautiful with a ceramic tiled floor and full length doors opening onto the terrace. We had a lovely bathroom with spa bath , shower and separate toilet. The restaurant had an extensive menu for breakfast and evening meal, with the choice of eating outdoors. Toledo probably needs 2-3 days to visit the main tourist sites with its magnificent architecture including a 13th Century Gothic Cathedral, the Al Cazar, the El Greco museum and has abundant side streets and alley ways.

United KingdomYou will need to take taxis into the centre of Toledo (unless you enjoy walking and NOT with a pram as it is not safe) the taxi company only have one child seat, and will charge you to go and collect it. To go into the city it is ok to sit them on your lap? But manager of hotel was really helpful in trying to arrange and explain everything to us.
Property was outstanding. The views are beautiful and you will never get tired of the view of Toledo. We have a 1.5 year old and the staff were amazing with him and always so pleasant. Every member of staff would acknowledge us and the maids were outstanding. Such a friendly and professional hotel. Thank you to the manager also who was so kind to us. Truly amazing staff and hotel.

United KingdomDisliked · The bathroom rather need reconfiguring - Stepping into and out of the bath to use the shower was awkward a potential H&S issue with the proximity of the his and her sinks.
Room 406 - Room with a spectacular view from the commanding vantage point where the Parador del Toledo is positioned on the Cerro de Emperor (Emperor's Hill) overlooking the River Tagus across from the Alcazar and the Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo (One of the richest in Spain possessing several paintings by Rubens, Bellini, Titian and El Greco. The Parador Toledo is spacious with wooden beams, staircases and banisters is Arab influenced with the copperware, Rugs and Tiles amongst the furniture and fittings.

United KingdomDue to its location out of town and after a day’s sight seeing in the heat, you may not always want to return to Toledo for dinner thus limiting your choice for dinner. The hotel restaurant was good with the odd disappointing dish e.g scrambled eggs, sea bass.
Lovely setting with amazing views of Toledo. Rooms good standard. Staff helpful and friendly. Restaurant busy but staff coped well.

JapanNone, everything is perfect!
The only thing that is very disappointing is that the maximum possible score is only 10 points. This facility definitely deserves 10x 100 points. For our elderly couple, choosing a comfortable accommodation for our trip to commemorate our 35th wedding anniversary was an extremely important element. The day we spent in this wonderful and comfortable facility will last a lifetime. It was a memorable experience for us. This is a facility we would want to visit on our 50th wedding anniversary trip. ******Tips******* Be sure to choose a room facing the old city on the north side. You can enjoy a spectacular view from your room's balcony. Sunrises, sunsets, and night views of the city are all dreamy!

United KingdomThe air conditioning doesn't really work so it is a good thing we didn't need it. We had to leave the balcony door open to let air in. This will not be good during the hotter months.
We love the location as you will get a great view over looking Toledo. We had the half board deal and the evening meal was fantastic , seating overlooking Toledo.
