The only real issue is the walk back to the town. Some of the roads, pathways are very narrow. However, the location more than makes up for it.

The hotel was spectacular. The setting set atop a hill in the grounds of a fortress was impressive with great views. The rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped. The staff were helpful, friendly and informative. The restaurant was excellent, great food and service. A wonderful Parador!

Like in all Paradores the dinner starts a bit too late. For people out of Spain even eight o’clock is already late.

Hard to get to with few direction signs, not helped by Google maps trying to take Me the wrong way up one way streets. You are pretty much captive up there, good for a 1 night stay though.

Decent route directions

Location was impressive.whan I found it.Around Lorca I'm.told that there are 3 signs indicating where the parador in located .Route finding is an adventure for the novices it's to the left after the tunnels heading for Alicante. There are signs here just find them and the directions up the hill are good I drove a few times around the town before finding the correct route.Have fun!!!

Rooms were quite dark

First time staying in a Parador, loved the setting within Lorca Castle. Spent the afternoon exploring it. Room was very spacious. Enjoyed a good meal in the restaurant, shame it was too windy to be outside, the views are amazing.

the wait for drinks and food in the bar not good

All staff were stiff and no smiles, especially reception and the spa. We were too tired to go to the restaurant, so tried the Bar. The bar food took an hour or so so arrive, was wrong and then another wait. Very few staff around. There was a huge wedding downstairs so we were sympathetic, but starving. Food was cold.

Comfortable bed, large room, great shower. The pool was warm and inviting.

Breakfast was really terrible. Perhaps the worst I have attended. Coffee machines of domestic quality and only tepid. Big queues. Asked for eggs and bacon which was totally overdone eggs were solid. I spoke to the lovely staff who couldn’t apologise more. In fact coffee for our table of four was bought from the Bar. Much better. Definitely stay again but will breakfast in Lorca.

Location superb particularly if you enjoy history and visit the castle surrounding the hotel. Lorca center was quite walkable. So clean and tidy. Everything perfect.

The staff, too much administration but not focussed on the customer experience except the main waiter in the restaurant. You need your car to go to the center of Lorca. It’s too steap and long for a walk.

This is a brilliant hotel with extraordinary views over the town . Car parking on site was great. Facilities were first class.

Unfortunately on the Booking. Com confirmation it stated evening meal would cost 38euro per person. The hotel does not do a set menu only A La Carte. This should be amended on the Booking . Com site.

My wife did find the bed a bit hard.

Apart from the location, which is interesting to navigate, its a very nice place once there.
