The rooms run a little small but this is common in Europe. I didn’t mind it though because we were always outside walking around the city.

The location of the hotel was within walking distance from the historic city center. It was close to all the places we wanted to see in Salamanca. I also liked that the front desk personnel could speak English. When we checked in at night, the staff was extremely helpful. They also have a good breakfast buffet.

The ceiling on the bathroom was cracked and peeling, we think this was a booking.com room but overall the room was very nice and clean. Would have thought it would be something a hotel would get fixed for the price you pay though. Otherwise stunning room and lovely looking hotel. Would go there again for sure. We also had a campervan and parking was very good and made it for us.

Beautiful former monastery that has been transformed into a luxury hotel. Very quiet room overlooking the convent courtyard next door. The murmeration of starlings each dawn & dusk just added to the magic. Excellent breakfast. When we arrived the staff on reception quickly highlighted on a map the key places to visit & suggested some restaurants. Very central for exploring the city, with easy, secure parking.

The bar area isn’t manned in the evenings and you have to go in search of someone to serve you. Even then it takes time as the bar doesn’t have any ice. We would have had a second drink but couldn’t be bothered to go in search of someone to serve us. Also found the perfumed room smell overwhelming when we arrived. It wore off overnight.

Excellent location with easy access to the sights of the city’s and local restaurants . Although the parking is pretty tight it’s a great advantage to have parking outside the hotel

Beautiful hotel, sympathetic renovation and tasteful, very pleasant decor. Rooms were immaculate and spacious. Bathrooms well equipped and also very spacious with lovely shower. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Location couldn’t be better with walking distance to all major attractions and on site parking very welcome. Quiet and peaceful and just what we needed. Loved it and we will be back!

To truly be a 5 star hotel “the small stuff” matters. Communication is key, and guests should be informed that you only provide one bottle of water on the first day only. A/C switched to heat middle of October without informing guests upon arrival. Not all reception desk staff seem to be happy when they see guests, as they look the other way.

The room was spacious and clean. The location was convenient to many historic sites, decent restaurants, and shopping.

Unfortunately the terrace where guests with dogs are allowed to eat is uncovered and, therefore, only available in the summer months.

The staff were extremely helpful and very professional. The valet parking is handy, we felt well cared for. The tea and coffee making facilities in the room were very much appreciated after a long journey.
