Like staying at the hotel in themovie The Shining - no staff and no light until you enter a space. This hotel could be a true destination If only they offered some services - which they don't- you're pretty much on your own!

Some minor details could be fixed in the room. E.g., some lamps were broken in the bathroom and the big light in the bedroom would only go out completely if you took out the hotel keycard (we used keys for the doors) which we found out by ourselves.

Beautiful location/establishment, private atmosphere, clean, spacious rooms that offered everything you need. Good value for money. Staff was not there during our stay, but we got clear instructions regarding checking in.

Probably the worst was the neighbours, who blamed the doors continuously. It was quite windy also, so maybe that was the reason.

Location is superb. Also staff is really friendly. Room was huge, there was plenty of space over there, and the views were stunning. Checking was "online", as I arrived later than expected, but went super smoothly.

There are no staff there at check in time, codes given to enter(no problem). There are no places to eat or drink within 5km and the room had no coffee/tea facility, so need to be prepared for that

We could understand the Covid rules but , at least to find a bottle of water in the room should be possible consider there was no other way to get a simple drop of drinking water in the hotel ( bar and restaurant closed for Covid rules )

Limited bar that closed at 8pm. No food in the village in the evening, nor in the hotel. Breakfast - one slice of toast and a coffee! I guess the hotel is running on a skeleton staff. A sandwich and a big bottle of beer would have made all the difference.

Beautiful location and building. Room comfortable. Great views. Worth it for the location and views.

It does not have air conditioning and it was very hot at the time. It would be lovely if they would open the resuaurant because there is nowhere in the area to eat.

The hotel is in a wonderful location and is a beautiful building. Mariana the lady that runs the hotel is lovely and very accommodating, she made sure we had the right room for two adults and two kids.

We can’t sleep! Another guests had their party under our windows and were too loud and too late, then there’s not a conditioner and we have to open windows and all night we were listening to crazy frogs and finally early in the morning the dog was whining in the next room. We made so long way for silent but we didn’t had it. It can be great to have a kettle in the room, because it’s a long way to get it, but there isn’t any restaurant in hotel or near it.

It’s a beautiful house in wonderful place. We see staff only in the morning and they are good. We don’t eat a lot so a cup of coffee with croissant for person was ok for us, coffee and croissants were very good, the views outside were excellent, so it was very good time. Big free car parking It’s was very clean everywhere Nice room

    Stunning setting and "COVID-secure" hotel

I could hear some noise from a nearby room during the evening, so I suspect the hotel is not very well sound-insulated. It wasn't a big problem as the hotel was quiet by the time I wanted to go to sleep.

The hotel is a very dramatic building and my room was really comfortable and felt quite luxurious, with an excellent shower and very nice bathroom, as well as a comfortable bed and lovely decor. The thing that impressed me most on this occasion was the hotel's approach to being "COVID-secure", including non-contact check-in and guest rooms and public areas that were spotlessly clean. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and I witnessed some very impressive thunder and lightning, viewed from the free hotel car park that is just opposite the hotel (as well as beautiful sunshine the next day!). I will return if I am travelling in northern Spain in the future.

Restaurant closed, so had to drive to get anything to eat & drink. Breakfast a piece of cold toast with 2 squares of synthetic cheese is not my idea of starting my day. No information given except nearest restaurant. No facilities in the room for tea/coffee & bar open one night with limited drinks. Poor service provided.

The hotel was in beautiful countryside. Comfy beds & very clean.

The code entry was a bit dodgy and it would have been nice to see a receptionist. Bedside lights didn't work.

The public areas were beautiful and the setting spectacular. We especially appreciated the books in the lounge on local history etc.
