Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BulgariaIt is a bit overused already - there are some small things to be fixed like a small hole in the window curtain - not hard to fix but looks bad. Pool was really cold but when I complained they turned the warm water and it was fine the next day :)
Nice, big hotel, a lot of staff and they were very nice and helpful. Room was big and had additional bed for the kid. Bathroom was clean and nice, had some extras like audio and additional warm up. Pool was nice especially for the summer. When we visited water was really cold because they just closed it for winter but when I called they made sure and warmed it up on the next day.

CanadaAs we arrived, there was a homeless man sleeping on the steps of what we thought was the front of the hotel. But as we rounded the corner we saw another entrance. The automatic doors had some fake flowers embedded in the doors which immediately lowered my view of the property. I recommend those fake flowers be removed as they are not necessary and no not add value (decreases opinion and first opinion). The room was a bit cramped because there was a couch added which wasn’t necessary and just took up space. Also a bit outdated and room did not feel upscale at all. Not sure how this hotel is rated a 4 star. It was okay, pretty basic with no enhanced feeling at all.
The girl at check in was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, had good storage for clothes and cabinets for toiletries which was good. The cafe was nice and the bartender was very nice.

MoldovaThe fact that it is a 4 star hotel - it doesn’t look like it at all. Maybe it was 4 stars more than 10 years ago, now it’s a 3 star for sure. Everything is quite old - from furniture and TV to the elevator. But if you’re looking just for a place to sleep and wash it’s fine.
The staff was nice, the room was clean, location was good - close to center and to airport too, a bit too far from the beach.

United KingdomSoundproofing needs looking at. During our last night the room above were so noisy and we’re talking loud until past 2am with children running around too! Scrapes of chairs on the floor were loud.
Reception staff faultless and extremely helpful, could not be better. Small rooftop pool and gym is an added bonus although there were some guests who just occupied the sun loungers without using the pool which was annoying. Rooftop bar offering food also great. Lovely views towards Old Town.

FranceThe room could be more clean than that. Hair in the bathtub, heavy rust on the tap. The bus in general does not honor this very nice hotel. Additionally, soundproofing is an area for big improvement. I did hear people snoring in the room just next to ours.
The location is great for those who travel by car. The breakfast is copious and tasty. The view from the rooftop is just breathtaking with a nice little swimming pool on the side.
