Location is spot on, in the Gothic district and in easy walking distance of Las Ramblas, The beach and the Marina. Nicely tucked away so was quit in the evening.

The breakfast menu was confusing and we felt expensive. I am a chef and it still wasn’t obvious what your options were! We found local bakeries for coffee and pastries which suited us

The hotel was exceptional set in the beautiful gothic quarter. We wanted a non corporate hotel and this certainly wasn’t that. Set in an old Catalan mansion and even smelt amazing. We were there in October and enjoyed gorgeous rose and cocktails on the roof terrace in the sun

We absolutely loved everything about this hotel.The experience starts when you approach the hotel with your bags, and Thomas runs out to help you, declaring, “I am your schlepper! I will schlep your things for you.” The lobby was beautiful, the room extraordinary, and the setting magical. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was designed beautifully, with a small couch and very comfortable beds. The staff could not have been more helpful or kind. The hotel is in an ancient, medieval building in the middle of the Gothic quarter, in walking distance to excellent restaurants, tons of shopping, and all of the major sights of Barcelona. We never had to take a taxi anywhere. I can’t wait to come back. This might have been the best hotel experience of my life.

Dinner could be nicer, staff at dinner was a bit less attentive then other staff :-( A bit difficult for taxis and luggage to get to the house... Pool on the rooftop terrace was unfortunately neither warm nor clean...
