The AC wasn’t working which didn’t matter as it was raining, and the shower would leak whilst (presumably) the room next door was using their shower. Very strange and slightly alarming at 2am. Can be noisy - family friendly hotel, but a lot of rather boisterous parents making a lot of noise late at night after a few too many drinks

I can only ever get extra pillows when I stay there if the hotel isn’t full, when it is at capacity there is nothing extra - one pillow per person and a cushion or two which aren’t comfortable to use to sleep. Over three years of visiting and it would be great if they could actually splash out on extra pillows for those guests who need more than one as nobody expects to have to take their own pillows in luggage on a plane!

Staff on the whole are excellent and offer great customer service. I love the fact that even though we have to check out of our room at 11am we can stay the whole day, use the facilities, store our luggage and even shower after using the pool with the use of two shower rooms (complete with hairdryers and toiletries - ask for towels!) so for an end of day flight you’re not wandering around with heavy bags - you can get to enjoy your whole time in Spain! We didn’t pay to stay for lunch but instead walked up to the big square where the kids can play and you can enjoy some relaxing time having a cuppa / food and being amongst the locals. The hotel is always busy and the managing of meal times is mostly very well done.

We had only breakfast included, and after 5 days eating the same food, we were sick of it… only day they gave soja sausages, which were bad. In general the food was ok. But we expected better.

First, tape water was salty. It's important to know for people with sensitive skin. Second, many additional payments that are usually free in other hotels - safe/towels (including change for towels) etc. Third, restaurant cutlery/plates are old and need a change. Food was good, but constantly over salted and burnt.

Overall quality is good, room/shower was clean. Room small for 2 people, but for 1 is the right size. Lunch/dinner had a lot of different fish (white) and some seafood. Bar was ok, rose wine (sparkling as well) could recommend, all-inclusive pool bar is poor and with not popular cocktails.

Breakfast could maybe do with a rethink. Cooking and keeping the food under hot plates meant everything was a bit hard from the cooked breakfast. Coffee wasn’t good (from a machine). We were there bed and breakfast and in the end went out for a lovely coffee and pastry from the local cafes. Great restaurants in Pineda too.

Pineda de Mar is a beautiful little town in a lovely part of the world. At the Splash Pineda, the staff are really friendly, it has nice facilities and rooms. Lots of pool options, able to borrow towels. Staff spoke good English but allowed us to practise our Spanish and Catalan too.

The token system for the drinks and the fact there didn't appear to be enough bar staff in the evenings as there were long ques to get a drink.

Location was good and Rooms were a good size. As a group of 10 adults we were pleased to see there was an adult recommended pool/area, although bare in mind due to wording you may find there are children in this pool at times! The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful.

The only thing i would say is that there are not enough sunbeds in the hotel for the amount of people that stay there. You have to get down to the pool around half 8 to get a sunbed. The rooms are a bit on the small side if you have a big family but they are very clean and nice and modern. The room for the entertainment in the night is very very hot but it is August so its expected and there are a lot of people that stay in the hotel. This did not affect our holiday in any way but i think people should know before they go. Also they have a cocktail menu with cocktails you have to pay for and certain drinks you have to pay for but I think that's the same in most hotels now. If you are all inc you get the drinks you have to pay for at half price. We didn't pay for many drinks at all maybe the odd cocktail. Also If you re-use your bath towels you will collect water points which you can hand in and get free cocktails and other drinks. I think its 6 tokens for a free cocktail. i used all mine at the end of my holiday so that was good.

The pools were great for kids, slides were great fun. The entertainment for the kids was brilliant and all of the the entertainers were lovely. The food was nice, something for everyone. You pay 4 star you get 4 star food. The hotel is lovely and clean and staff are happy to help. I would definitely recommend this hotel to people with young families its great. The town around is very Spanish (which is what i like), there is not much nightlife, if that's what you are looking for you wont find it in Pineada but we went with the kids so this didn't bother us. There is a few lovely restaurants in the town and down the road in Callella.

Intermittent problem with one elevator caused some delays with buggies and luggage. Family room was a little compact with three beds, but bathroom was fine. A childproof room lock would be an option.

The food offer was good and varied with good daily changes to to the buffet menu. Seating and service was quick and efficient. Aircon was efficient and effective in the hot weather. Entertainment programme was good for children during day and early evening, then later for families.

One day one of the girls in the family hurt herself after stepping on some glass by the pool, that is not ok. And another day, two of the girls spent a looooong time waiting in line for the kids makeup, and when it finally was their turn, they just packed up in front of them and left. They didnt say anything and they let them stand there in line for all that time!! That was cruel og and the girls where crying when they got back. DONT treat children that way!

The food, the pool, rom, and we were very happy with the girls form Portugal, they were always friendly, smiling and very helpful.

The room we got was so small for 4 people in family. We thought we were gonna have a spasious room, like it stood in the order. The food was ok not more then that. We were charged for drinks when we left but we had paid for them the evening before with cash !!

Even the hotel is very busy, staff is so helpful. It's hotel for families with kids as they have everything for them big pool with slides, small pool with small slides, entertainment as kids club and animators team ( Zaida, Oleksii, Enzo , Mar and others as i can't remember all the names) have so much energy to make our days fun and busy. Drinks are strong, food is good ( buffet has each day smith grilled Infront of you).
