Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe staff didn’t seem very knowledgeable or helpful. I asked about attractions, and was provided a map. I asked about the Hammam, and the response was “you have to pay.” I’ve been to Hammams before, I know you have to pay. I found the website and made my reservation, and yes, paid. The Hammam is also a 5-10min walk from the hotel and is very relaxing. Also, I booked this place with a filter for a balcony. It wasn’t really a balcony, more of a full window- you can go out into the balcony.
The location is great- walkable within minutes to the Arabic center/shopping, at the bottom of the hill to the Alhambra, the Cathedral is nearby, and public transportation can be used since the hotel is centrally located.

United KingdomParking: expensive @ €23 per night and very tight to manoeuvre in unfamiliar car (make sure you hire a small one, which we did) Breakfast: room was noisy, staff were offhand, food was mediocre, not a pleasant experience at all Reception staff inconsistent: mostly helpful (booked flamenco for us), but also offhand - is this just the Spanish way?
Great location, very handy for walking around. Room fine, spacious and well equipped if you don't mind 'no view'. We spent little time in it. Good to have proper filtered decaff coffee available at breakfast. Good to have onsite secure parking but ..

TurkeyThe breakfast was not sufficient in terms of variety or taste, we were not satisfied.
The location of the hotel is very good, although it is in the very center of the city, it is not affected by the crowd and noise. Minibuses going to Alhambra leave from the back street. Our room was large enough and quiet.

United StatesIt's a little awkward for 2 big suitcases. Carry on size is a better fit.
The location is primo to the restaurants, shopping, and pharmacies.. The taxi stand and tourist shuttles are right by. The hotel bar/restaurant is very convenient. The lobby is bright and clean. The hotel room is very like a spanish home master bedroom. I like the long pillows.

TurkeyThe driving directions to the hotel sent per mail was in Spanish which we could not understand, therefore could not find the hotel by car.
The hotel is in an excellent location. It is right in the middle of everything. It is close to the shopping street, Albaicin, and close to Alhambra. The bus station going to Alhambra is right in front of the hotel. All nice restaurants are in walking distance. The room was clean and bright. The bed was comfortable. The front desk was very helpful. They have a private parking place but reaching the hotel was very difficult therefore we parked at a public parking which was ridiculously very very expensive. Do not give up and find their parking place :) Would recommend to everyone who would like to have a clean, bright, friendly, and elegant hotel in Granda.

United StatesToo warm! AC is seasonal, apparently. But 27 degrees C in the room is not comfortable for sleeping. With balcony doors open, room cools down. Yet the exterior noise is then disruptive.

United StatesReally hated giving this an rating of 9, but the beds where so hard they gave us backaches and had to subtract at least 1. My wife was less bothered by it than me, so I did not subtract more.
Real nice hotel! Placement perfect for most of the major attractions, surrounded by lots of good restaurants, across from a taxi stand, at the start of Albaicin and the Calle Durro - location can't be beat. Upscale feel. Nice bathroom and water pressure. Clean large room. Staff very helpful. Good restaurant associated with hotel with good 15e pp breakfast buffet (although no variation). Really pleased with choice for our 3 nights there.
