The location is the best part if you want to explore the city. The staff are friendly and the room was clean and for the price it was fair.

Room was too tiny and small, even for one person. Price of 130 eur per night is overpaid for this type of room and comfort.In the bathroom I didn’t had brush for the toilet chair and it was very uncomfortable, I ask men from the reception if they can give me brush because I don’t have it in the room from my first day and he told me that they do not have it . So hotel with 3 star in the center of Barcelona without brush for toilet chair for 130 eur per night without breakfast. Unfortunately good location is not enough, hotel need some renovation. Windows and doors are not soundproof. Its very noisy, evan with closed window you heard sounds like you on the street.

Staff were just okay, mostly seamd indifferent. But then it would still be better than most people working in hospitality that we came across with our 4 days in Barcelona. And another thing was that I asked the hotel to get us a taxi to the central bus station (we were checking out in the middle of the night) which they did, but the driver charged us twice as much as I payed when I got a taxi from the train station to the hotel. I didn't understand why there was such a difference in price, and it felt like we were taken advantage of. Otherwise, everything was good😊

There is little or no sound proofing between the rooms, and sometimes we were woken during the night.

It was a little bit noisy, however this was noise from the street below.

The hotel is in a great location for La Rambla. There was access to the metro right opposite and the taxi rank was also within walking distance. The choice for breakfast was really good.

No kettle or tea making facilities in the room which was poor for even a budget hotel. Although reasonable choice for breakfast the Bacon & sausages for breakfast were luke warm, not pleasant. When highlighted this to staff they offered to microwave them.

Location was excellent and staff were lovely and very helpful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable continental breakfast was good.

The location is very good, next to the metro. It is very easy to reach both the centre and the beach on foot. City tax is payable upon check-in. I did not see this information when booking, it was a surprise. A small but cosy room. Nice roof terrace. A refrigerator is available. Cleaning every day. Shower gel and shampoo are available, but very small portions. There is also an air conditioner, although, on the last night of the stay, it smelled strange and had to be turned off. Not a smart TV. Breakfast is good. Many options to choose from. Very tasty yoghurt. I would like to mention the restaurant Moderno, next to the hotel. Nice atmosphere, affordable prices and friendly staff.

Our room was clearly not the pretty one portrayed on Booking.com. It was fine. It was very noisy at night, but that is due to the location more than anything else. The bathroom could use a strong refreshment and modernisation of the bath and shower.

The location is the main bonus of Hotel Moderno. It's right on La Rambla, a short walking distance from Plaça Catalunya and the Barri Gotic.

Stayed three nights. At breakfast the yoghurt was finished on two days, and was available on the third day only. The bacon and eggs were almost cold at the counter. Would have been worth the money otherwise.

Excellent location. Room OK, with balcony and street view, but no noise problems. Bathroom with no bidet shower, but with a traditional bidet basin.
