Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThe shower head in our room was not working correctly. It was fine for me (I am short) but difficult for my tall husband) it was adequate for the time we stayed. The bigger issue was the bad smell. We didn’t complain to the hotel so I cannot really say much other than we had to leave our AC running to make sure there was airflow in our room and close off our bathroom.
The location was great. Close to everything we wanted to see. We could walk everywhere.

The location is amaizing, right next to Puerta del Sol. There are a lot of restaurants in the area and you can go by walking to any tourist place. The staff of the hotel was very nice, the checkin and checkout were quick and there is a room to leave the luggage. We didn't hear any noise from our room and really enjoyed the time we expect there

United StatesThe beds were too hard and the pillows were too thin. It was difficult to fall asleep.
The location was prime, right off La Puerta del Sol. It was a 15 minute walk to all of Madrid’s major hits. The staff was also very polite and held our bags while we traveled after our check-out before we left the city. The air conditioning also worked very well, essential for a hot summer day in Madrid.

United StatesThe address provided to me but the hotel was incorrect. In fact, due to restrictions, cars cannot drive directly to the hotel, making it impossible for any car to drive there. We faced difficulties moving our luggage to the hotel from the taxi, as the taxi driver left us to the address the hotel provided. Ultimately, we had to give a large tip to the taxi driver for helping us move our luggage from the hotel to the pickup point.

United KingdomBath towels weren't great ie on the small side and slightly rough. Overall impression of the place, lobbies, furniture etc is that it's a little rough around the edges. But for it's location, rates and the fact it isn't 3, 4 or 5* that's not unexpected.
Location is excellent. Literally seconds from the front door to Sol Plaza and Metro Station. Despite the hustle and bussle outside the interior of the hotel was remarkably quiet. The room we had, at the back so no view, was unbelievably quiet and combined with comfortable beds we had a good night's sleep every time. All the receptionists we met were super helpful, friendly and professional. AirCon worked, as did the shower although we didn't try the jets. A fridge to store water etc was very useful. Nice touch having reasonably priced vending machines and a lounge cum dining area where you can bring in takeaways if you liked. Overall somewhere I'd happily stay again.

Being located within meters of the Puerta del Sol makes this a great location for walking around the city or catching the Metro to many destinations. It is easy to find restaurants, shopping, and services of all kinds. We were able to store our luggage in a secure room after checkout so we could explore the city all day.

Location was perfect. A few steps from Sol Metro Station. Very close to shops, bars and restaurants. You can walk to most places. There's a lift there if you're traveling with a big suitcase. There is a vending machine.

SwitzerlandThe sofa bed has seen better days and needs replacement. As it is near Puerta del Sol, the noise from outside is expected, Bathroom needs better ventilation.
I wanted a room for 5 adults for family visiting Spain for the first time and near Puerta del Sol for a quick visit of Madrid. It is near impossible to find one room for 5 adults near Puerta del Sol at a reasonable price but Hotel Mirador had one. The 5th bed was a pull out sofa bed. This hotel is as close to Puerta del Sol as can be and near the Sol Metro station and other tourists attraction.
