Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Great location, 5 mins walk to 3 metro stations. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great bars nearby. On a main square but surprisingly quiet with double glazing. Shower was amazing. Breakfast was excellent.

AustraliaWe arrived after midnight without luggage, which was lost by airline, the staff at hotel were just so fantastic. Helped us so often with finding phone chargers, offering to get us clothing etc. We had one early start to catch train to Toledo, they opened the breakfast room early for us, so good. Breakfasts were very good, hotel clean, very comfortable. Thanks Mary, Alex, Theo and our friend in the kitchen! High recommendation.

United StatesMy biggest complaint was the tiny size of the rooms.
The location was very central, near most of the areas in Madrid that are top “ must see” attractions. Breakfast was good, though quite “basic”! The 2 rooms I stayed in were both very clean, with a lovely view of Plaza Santa Ana, and had everything necessary (safety deposit box, mini fridge, comfortable bed, etc.). The main problem with the rooms is that they are extremely small and quite cramped. The shower was so tiny that it was actually difficult to take a shower in! Yet, I was glad that water didn’t leak out onto the floor. Perhaps the rooms should have smaller beds so the rooms themselves would feel larger? The hotel staff was exceptional: everybody was extremely friendly, helpful and kind.

SwitzerlandA bit of disappointment came from the fact that this time we got some smaller room comparing to the previous year. A room for two adults and two kids had only one extra bed (previous year, we had two small beds for kids).
This was our second time staying in this hotel. The reason we chosen it was because we stayed here previous year and we loved everything about it! Super-friendly stuff, willing to help with everything they can even "out of hotel's scope"! Good breakfast! Location is fantastic, underground parking is just 2-3 mins way (Plaza de Santa Ana), where hotel's guests get discount. Garage parking clearance is big enough to allow family mini-vans! Overall another yet great experience with Miau hotel!
