Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CroatiaThe hotel staff was very unhelpful and didn’t speak English at all. We have left 2 of our bags at the reception at the time of the check out. When we later called the hotel, the staff first didn’t even recognise our reservation at the hotel, later told us that the bags were not there and we needed to call the next day because they had to confirm it with the cleaning staff. Only the day after and us trying to speak Spanish (both of us are not native Spanish speakers) they told us the bags were there but we needed to find ourselves the shipping company and organize the whole process of returning our bags. Any other suggestion (staff shipping it and us paying was declined). Considering that we were foreigners on our vacation in Spain it was impossible for us to do it so we lost some of our personal belongings and things for our 8 month old baby. It is unbelievable that none of the staff spoke English on the level of understanding the situation and was unwilling to help provide a solution for our problem.

Germanythat there was no iron(was not able at the time i resquested one) but they habe, the opening times from the restaurant and there was no access to any streaming media like Netflix, and they were not flexible with the check out.
I liked the location, that the staff was very nice and the room was what we expected, the room was really clean and tidy, the accepted our check in time with no problem, you could buy water and energy drink at the mini casino thats on the hotel reception.

GermanyThe staff at the counter in the evening.Very high nosed and either too dumb to fix the room entrance card, or did this by purpose. In all three evenings they where not able to fix the cards, in a way the cards could be used next day again for entering the room. We had every evening new to approach that high nosed staff!

SwitzerlandWe got woken up by an alarm in the building in the middle of the night, when we contacted staff to ask what was going on they told us to call back in 20 minutes if the alarm didn't stop by then. The alarm was already going on for about 20 minutes so this disturbed our sleep quite a bit.

United StatesThe room seemed clean but the bedsheet was dirty. It wasn't rumpled as if anyone else had slept in it, but it was gritty and had hairs and brown marks. When we got replacement sheets, they were too small for the bed but we used them anyway.
