Food for the dinner was cold and not very well prepared.

Overall a great hotel with really helpful and friendly staff. The downside of this hotel is the food and outdated rooms. Though the views through the windows are mesmerizing. Great for people who are doing the Invierno route

It should be more clean in the common areas, and the bed sheets were a little dusty. The facilities are old. If the place could renovate some aspects, it would be an awesome place to stay.

The location is great. The view from the room was awesome

Smell of air freshener (I'm being really picky)

Las Medulas is off the beaten track. The hotel is quite large given the size of the village - but I would imagine in peak season would be rammed full. The sunset views over the hills from the outside tables of the bar - are spectacular Food ok But definitely value for money.

Rather basic but clean accommodations. Rather pricey for what you get, but this is a tourist area on a weekend. The staff were very helpful, in getting us a taxi in the morning.

Furnishings and fixtures are somewhat worn. The price is high given the quality of the room.

Our room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant and bar areas are good and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Great location for touring the sites.

This is a dated hotel in a place that is busy during the day and dead from about 5:00 pm. Some things were borderline tacky and it has seen better days. I think it was poor value for money.

    Not much.

The first room they put us in had a toilet which would not flush so we were moved to another room. Apparently this was the room that the hotel kitchen was venting into because once the restaurant opened for dinner the smell of cooking and frying was unbearable. We tried sleeping with the balcony open but people were going outside to smoke and talk and cough and it felt like they were doing all of that directly on our balcony. The beds have very old spring mattresses and even if you don't have back issues you will feel your back after a night here. Overall a very bad night and next day we noticed that all our clothes soaked up the fried oil smell. We had to do laundry at the next stay just to get rid of the smell. The next morning my wife went downstairs to get a couple of glasses of hot water so we could make tea in the room and was told by the guy at the front that he would only give us one glass implying that if we wanted more we would have to order something. He refused to give us a second glass of hot water. His behavior was absolutely ridiculous. We have never encountered this at any other hotel. They charge 12 Euros for a dog. Overall our night cost 80 Euros and that's horrible value for money. I would not stay here again.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location but the rest was so bad that we'd rather drive a couple of hours to get to Las Médulas than stay here.

The location is great just opposite the helpful Tourist Office and good for starting points of walks into the mined area. Parking is outside the hotel. Wi-Fi worked fine. We had a very good lunch at the hotel: three voided with wine, water and bread for 15€.

Staff did not speak any English, but we managed to communicate anyway.

A nice place in the middle of nature with many trails starting only few steps from hotel entrance. The facilities were spacious and since it is located away from city, we could easily have windows open in the night.

There were big wasps or hornets in the ceiling and they got into the ceiling light in the room, where they buzzed and buzzed and then died. Really unnerving. I was worried that they would find a way into my room. Not a great sleep.

Within walking distance of Las Medulas World Heritage site. Good restaurant in hotel. Friendly staff.

This was the most expensive place I stayed on my Camino. Las Médulas is a popular tourist destination because of the stunning Roman gold mines. Just look up Las Médulas on Google and you will see what I mean. The hotel itself seemed rundown and in need of renovation. For the price, I expected much better.

The location! After a hard day of walking the Camino Invierno on my first day, it was easy to find and is located on the Camino. There is a dining room and dinner was excellent.
