Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Met so many great people<3 Social, safe, well located, clean hostel. The beds are nice and comfortable, with enough place to leave your things in the locker, the terrasse is AMAZING (I recommend the 5€ hostel dinner which leaves you full), and the showers and bathrooms are spacious and always tidy.

CanadaThe noise is bad. I stayed in the hostel for 10 nights in a room with other 9 people. I barely sleep 3, 4 hours every night with interruptions. Also, the pillow and mattress were quite uncomfortable. The little lamp on the wall fell off on the first day.
The location is the best. Also, they offer guests free coffee, tea, and sangria for free every day. People at the reception are nice. The place is kept pretty clean .

Great location, clean rooms and kitchen, cozy rooms with sockets and lamps next to the bed as well as curtains. I loved the roof terrace which made it super easy to connect with people, great staff and breakfast for only 3 Euro, dinner for 5 Euro.

The staff were helpful when I needed to check in late at night. Kitchen was always accessible. Fridges were clean and organised and the WhatsApp group is great for socialising and meet ups. Towels and linen provided. Key card access. Comfy beds. Family dinners and free sangria and happy hours on the rooftop.

United KingdomThe bar crawl wasn't good value (but maybe it was the night we went!) and sticks to venues that mostly feel a bit British-oriented, but I'm no expert on nightlife here. The cleaners cleaned lots of room surfaces and did a better job than many, but the shelves in the bathroom were left dusty and didn't seem clean compared to everything else. It would be nice if the left luggage was a bit safer (like if it had a ticketing/cheap sticker system) - I love that they offer it, but the system involves putting your bags in a room that isn't locked, so no-one checks if the bag someone is taking is actually theirs! So keep your valuables with you if you use it. My bunk bed was also really low (apparently it's lower than in other rooms), I kept hitting my head and couldn't sit comfortably in it, but maybe I just have a massive head :) but it was comfy otherwise! The current hand soap is very unfriendly to skin even using as little as possible, it triggered my contact dermatitis really badly which even constant hand lotion didn't help. I would suggest that they change their hand soap to a kind that is more gentle or has no perfume.
Great location. 5 mins walk from the airport metro train, 10mins walk from the centre, 20mins walk from the beach. They ask for quiet near the rooms after 10/11pm so it's easy to get some rest early if you need it, although street cleaners outside can be loud at 3am! So bring earplugs to be safe. Nice array of events and opportunities to socialise if you want them. Staff very friendly and helpful. They changed my room as I really needed a bottom bunk for health issues, which I was and still am really grateful for! Kitchen is well equipped. If you want breakfast, it's 3EUR and it includes a choice of 3 cereals, white or brown bread, cheese and ham, and 3-4 juices. Tea and coffee is freely available all day while the kitchen is open. You can change your towel and bed linen every 3 days if you want. Board games on offer, nice social areas both inside and on the roof terrace. Bathroom areas kept clean and room floor swept every day, I felt very comfortable in the bathroom. I'd definitely consider staying again if I came back to this city and do recommend.
