Having chairs available in the rooms would assist. People sleeping on top bunks don’t have any place to sit but the floor.

We stayed in a private room on the upper floor of this albergue. It was absolutely spotless, with a comfortable bed, good shower, and access to a coin-operated washer & dryer. It is right at the entrance to town, and we had a nice view of the local church. There was no A/C, but there was a standing fan in the room. The owners were very helpful and welcoming. We didn’t eat at the property, but the dinner that was baking smelled wonderful.

If I must pick anything, the location could be better. The hostel is the first one as you enter Castrojeriz… and Castrojeriz is a long-ish town, so getting to the supermarket, farmacia and exiting town takes abt 1km. That said, the hospitality and kindness of the hositaleros made my stay here a 12/10 experience… I will recommend and stay here again!!

Everything about this property was just perfect for a pilgrim. Clean, fantastic dinner, right on the Camino, great laundry facilities and lots of outdoor drying space. Gorgeous courtyard area out front to relax. Best place that I have stayed so far in nearly 3 weeks!

Minor point—it’s located right when one enters castrojeriz. Great at the end of a day walking, but inconvenient to stores etc in the middle of town and it’s 2 kms to the other side of town. But that’s all I didn’t like, the place was fabulous!

Modern, spacious, good facility, lovely courtyard, right on the Camino. Staff great, dinner was excellent, well beyond expectations.

The facilities are 3 years old but super clean and very well taken care of. There's a washer and dryer that you can use, at a cost of course but none the less great. They offer communal dinners that are delicious and breakfast.

Exceptional place to stay along the Camino route. It’s spotlessly clean and new. The hosts are so lovely. Went out of their way to make us feel welcome with a delicious home cooked meal and salad and also always available to help with booking massages and bag transfers. The beds are comfortable and room is well insulated for sound. We felt so rested and happy to have found this gem of a place on the Camino. Highly recommended.

Immaculate, modern property on the edge of town. Spacious, clean, each bunk has its own light and USB port. Separate ladies and gents facilities. Owners couldn't have been lovelier or more helpful. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend.

Clean albergue with a cool vibe. We appreciated that the rooms were separated by gender. My daughter and I were in a room with two other women and enjoyed the privacy and camaraderie. Pilgrim's dinner was offered. Laundry facilities on site and vending machines. Breakfast served in the morning.

One of the best places we have stayed during the Camino. The owners worked so hard to make us feel comfortable and welcome. The home cooked meal was 5 star!! The decor is clean and fresh. Couches and tables in the genera area to relax.

My favourite albergue on the Camino Frances. Lovely hosts, warm and friendly. You can tell they care about the Pilgrims. The hostess has previously walked the Camino herself. The albergue was spotlessly clean and inviting right from the entrance. The communal garden area with lovely colourful flowers was a great place to relax after a long hot day on the Camino. The food, both dinner and breakfast, was absolutely delicious!! You will not be disappointed!!

No complaints at all- everything was perfect.

This has been my favourite Albergue on the Camino so far. The care taken to make it inviting is obvious when you walk through the front doors. Potted flowers well tended to everywhere, extremely clean and new facilities, comfortable bunks and the hospitality was second to none. Pilgrim dinner of fresh chicken legs, warm bread and flavourful rice was amazing. I have had a hard time finding nutritious breakfasts as I’m not a fan of white bread and coffee in the morning. They had yogurt, cereal, fresh cake, and large bowl of cut up fresh fruit. Great way to start a long walk!
