Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe had a run of bad luck, which important to mention, but on the positive side, the hotel reacted in a positive way every time. We booked a family bungalow on HB, but when we arrived this was not available, and we had 2 rooms next door to each other. However, the hotel upgraded us to Full board, which seemed very fair. We all became ill after the 2nd night. We only had eaten at the hotel. Again, very helpful reception and cleaners brought us clean sheets at 3 am and cleaned the room the next day. When we got back to eating, the buffet lunch had changed to ordering at the pool bar. This was a bit on the slow side, and both days our order was wrong (2 meals brought out for 4 of us on the first lunch, then 3 meals on the 2nd lunch, same waitress ), but again, all rectified in the end, and the food was good, and we were not in a hurry! We slept with the doors open for the breeze when we were ill, but we got eaten alive by mozzies. There was no air con. Again, I think it may have been a problem with a particular room, and we asked to change, which they did. The surf lesson, which we cancelled due to being ill, tried to charge us, even though we texted them first thing on the morning of the lesson. It appeared on our hotel bill at the end. Again, the hotel staff, after a few sensible conversations, sorted this out and we did not have to pay. So in summary, despite having a lot of bad luck, the hotel staff were very proactive in helping out, and I would recommend the place. I think we were just a bit unlucky with being unwell, which can happen anywhere.
The hotel and gardens are very pretty, quiet and very relaxing. There is a fantastic gym (which we used) and the yoga / work out areas look great (although we didn’t use them). You get a great view of the sunset from the upstairs terrace. The hotel, rooms and gardens are kept very clean.

FinlandIf you want to eat in a restaurant that is not in the hotel, there's not much options in this specific area. The coolness of this hotel resort is that it's far away from everything.
I was positively surprised of how nice it was. The thing I liked the most was the calmness. The option to hang by the pool, go to the beach with amazing waves, workout or to walk around the incredible scenery just outside the hotel and watch the amazing sunsets. The staff was caring and super friendly. The food was fresh and overall super good.

United KingdomOur bungalow didn't have an aircon, and it was getting hot at night (September). Opening the windows at night only resulted in mosquitos getting inside (a mosquito net protection for one window would have been a game changer).
Beautiful, peaceful hotel surrounded by nature. There are plenty of walking trails and mountain biking routes nearby. Short drive to nice hikes and volcanoes. Perfect if you have a car and want to explore the island. Saturday mountain biking tour was great. Mountain bikes, free to rent, are of very good quality. Food was amazing - the restaurant is big enough to offer good choices, but not too large - it doesn’t feel like a mass canteen. There was a selection of gluten-free pastries. The bungalows are spread around a large area and offer good privacy. We got one with a balcony overlooking the ocean. WiFi was better than expected, sufficient for taking Zoom calls with no issues. The pool bar served the best mohito I've ever had!

United KingdomDidn't know sauna only opened between 14:00 and 19:00. We arrived at 18:30 and would have arrived sooner if we'd known.
Heated pool. Helpful, polite staff. Choice of food. Well located for long walks along the wild coastline with good views to mountains ahead. Good base to visit the Jandia peninsula and Sotavento beaches as roads are good.

SpainBreakfast and Dinner had a good selection of food to choose from but the Hot food was Cold. The chef fried eggs every morning and if you were standing in front of him you would be given hot eggs otherwise the eggs bacon and other hot food would be cold. The same applies to Dinner. If you were there as the chef cooked then you would have hot food otherwise it would be cold. We have stayed in many hotels and most have a microwave for people who like hot food Hot. Restaurant staff fantastic and great variety of food and restaurant very clean. Only problem was the temperature of food.
It was the perfect location for us to relax. Our room was lovely. Very clean and spacious. Bathroom shower great. Mini fridge a big plus. Kettle was a big plus also for our cup of tea. Bathrobes were a lovely surprise and most welcome. We had Breakfast and Dinner included which had a good selection of food to choose from. Overall a great place to stay to relax or if you want to be active there is a good variety of sports available. We will return.

Canadait is so hot and humid in the room. only one window (in bathroom), no A/C. slept with the patio doors open and found a cat on the couch in the morning. anytime we left the patio doors open, cats would enter our room. there were also so many mosquitos at night (no screens in window or patio doors). I couldn't sleep. food was overcooked every day (meat, vegetables, everything)
nice room. bed was a little hard and springy but not saggy. sauna was nice (jacuzzi was too cold). breakfast and dinner buffets convenient. sufficient parking on the premises. wifi in room.

GermanyAs this Hotel is absolutely not concipated for children, but for adults, we were very surprised to find it so crowded with bored kids and teenagers. On some days the pool area (that is originally concipated like a chillout area with relaxing music) and also the gym area were more like a noisy playground (children throwing around the gym Equipment) But we suppose that this was an exceptional situation…
La pared is very quiet and is a great choice for a relaxing Holiday. We Loved that it is very quiet in the evenings and there is no Animation or noisy music. breakfast was Great as well. The staff helped us with all out questions during our stay. The gym and yoga area are perfect. Beach is perfect for nature lovers.

Hotel with oriental style, rooms with wood ferniture. Wonderful sunsets, wonderful empty sandy beach. Good place for surfing. Gladly come back.
