Absolutely fabulous hotel, staff cannot do enough for you and the facilities are stunning. Rooms are huge and have everything you could possibly need including luxury toiletries, mini bar, two tv's and bluetooth speakers. Only a short walk or taxi journey to the seafront so in an ideal location.

It was described as having a spa, but in actual fact it does not. You can however book treatments and the treatment I had was excellent massage. I think that if they develop the spa so there was a Jacuzzi steam and sauna that would make it perfect.

We could not have had a better stay in this hotel.

Breakfast was amazing with an overwhelming number of options at the buffet and food cooked to order. Pool and chillout areas were comfortable and relaxing, with drinks and snacks brought to our loungers. Friendly staff that can't do enough for you. Breath taking views of the sea right outside our balcony. The cocktails in Kentia Bar were out of this world!

I cannot pick any fault.

Breakfast was amazing. The choice of food and the fresh breads, fruits, pastries was amazing. The staff were very welcoming in the morning and very accommodating. They opened the breakfast room for us half an hour early so we could grab a light bite before our flight. The hotel area was very private, clean and had a very intimate feel around it. I most defiantly will be returning here again.

Pool staff short; noone to curb reservations of recliners which allows many people to place towels to reserve recliners that go unused for hours, even full days

Very little. The WiFi isn’t great and drops in and out a lot. The TV runs off the WiFi so It’s annoying with the TV pausing all the time. There were renovations happening in the rooms beside ours which were noisy quite early each morning.

The design and layout are beautiful . Very unique compared to other places we have stayed. The staff are so attentive and are very friendly. Breakfast buffet is fantastic and caters for everyone’s tastes. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to stay here. The pool layout is perfect and never ever had to get up early to put towels out for beds etc. This hotel has lots going on without it being in your face. Would stay here again.

In some areas the place is lacking in maintenance and starting to look a bit tired. Broken floor tiles, corner guards missing, TV’s wonky, lampshades falling off, blinds not working properly, broken bathroom vents … the list goes on. You have to look for the defects, but they were not there when the place opened. Still a great place though!

Fantastic boutique hotel. Staff are amazing. Breakfast is even better than it used to be.

All the staff and facilities were excellent, The layout of the hotel site , the lovely rooms were all great. Breakfast offerings were exceptional. We were gratefully given a free upgrade to a room with a private hot tub which was so lovely and for which are very thankful.

The bed made a noise every time you moved as it was like a camp bed Although the breakfast was very good at busy times the staff were overwhelmed and service was slow. A suggestion for improvement would be to have tea and coffee making facilities to help the situation

Our room was right on the corner of a triangle shaped group of rooms so our “terrace” was tiny with no lie back sun loungers.

The only very small thing was that the air con wouldn't work properly but as we went in December and the temp was only in the low 20's it didnt affect us too much .

The staff were excellent and soo friendly and couldn't do enough for you . The facilities were fantastic and everything was always very clean , neat and tidy . It was a fantastically well run hotel and I would definately recommend staying here ! It's also child free and soo quiet and relaxing and just a few minutes walk from Playa Del Carmen centre and the quay side .
