We were in room 218 and unfortunately there was an unpleasant smell for most our stay (from bathroom). We did report this to reception. No tea or coffee making facilities. No tissues. Water not replaced on second day. Two towels not three on second day.

Lovely location. Very peaceful. Comfortable bed. Good cafe on site.

The lack of extras you would expect for a 4 star hotel. Minimum toiletries, eg. only 3 little bottles of shower gel and a small bar of soap, the mini bar consisted of 2 small bottles of water. Apart from towels, that was it.

room was a good size and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very nice and good value for money. Surroundings were very pleasant and peaceful. Would stay again.

There was nothing we didn’t like, I can understand that some people see it and judge it against a Barcelo etc - you have to remember this is a very old building and connected to the still open church so don’t expect perfection.

The property is set in a beautiful location, there are walks to beautiful views from right outside (15/20 mins max). The Cafe bar is a great spot with very good options and value for money, it is typically Spanish - ignore comments saying it’s like a canteen, it’s like a lot of Spain and just what you want. The restaurant food was superb, extremely good value and well presented, it would be worth a visit just for a meal. The local area is beautiful and you can be in Totana or the lovely village of ALEDO in 10 mins. The main Sierra Espuna park is also only a short drive. Staff were very friendly and helpful in all of the above. This is an ideal stay for walkers/cyclists or those that love peace and quiet and mountains views.

Beautiful setting,a bit hard to find but worth it . It was an absolute bargain at the price. The bedrooms and public areas were tastefully decorated and the food was very good and extremely well priced. Very good choice at breakfast. The lady who served dinner was very nice and worked extremely hard .

Location first class. Not our first visit so I knew to book a room with the large terrace. Evening meal was first class and very good value for money. Therefore a wee bit surprising that the breakfast was not so good.

Would have loved a kettle in the room. To sit on our terrace with a nice cuppa in the morning before everything opened would have been great. You really do need a car. We didn't as we had come as a surprise visit for a friend's 60th birthday, only stayed for a few days. So for getting around you need transport as you are up in the mountains. We knew this, so it wasn't a problem for us.

Beautiful hotel, lovely location, clean and comfortable. Friendly, helpful staff. Walks around the hotel are good, and it was so peaceful. Would definitely stay here again. Pool is a great addition. Breakfast was great. Plenty of choice, more continental which suited us. The evening meal was good, not a big choice but good value 24 euros for a 3 course meal. Martins bar is great, a good choice of drinks, tapas and toasties etc.

Evening meal was a set 24 euros so we drove into town to eat elsewhere.

Building was amazing and in very tranquil setting. Rooms were very well equipped and bathroom good. Breakfast was exceptional and worth 10 euros. Good cafeteria on site too. Staff very pleasant. Good base for hiking.

The bottom of the shower tray could do with a bit off cleaning/attention as it leaked.

Perfect and quite location. The water quality of the beautiful pool is one of the best I have ever experienced! Unbelievable friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed our visit a lot!
