Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaThere were occasional low rumbling sounds, presumably from trains running on tracks under the apartment. These were infrequent and barely audible, so didn't affect us, and didn't happen at night.
Nice apartment in great location in a mainly-pedestrian area, close (but not too close) to a lively square with restaurants popular with locals. Great location for access to transport. We would definitely stay again if returning to Barcelona.

South KoreaThese days, most apartments have capsule coffee machines, but it was disappointing that this place did not have one.
The accommodation was very close to Sants station, making it convenient to get anywhere in the city. The host provided clear instructions in advance, so we had no trouble finding the house and opening the door. There was an elevator, which made it easy to move our luggage. The house was cozy and at a comfortable temperature, with good ventilation. Despite the many restaurants nearby, it was quiet. There are also many supermarkets and good restaurants in the area. With two bathrooms, it was very convenient for our family to stay.

The apartment is a few meters from the train station. This is a bonus! There are a number of restaurants close by. The apartment has all the facilities we needed for a short stay. The host communicated regularly and also helped us communicate to the courier company with our lost luggage. I liked the view on the street from the small balcony.

United StatesSome of the instructions for appliances were out of date, as not a native spanish speaker had hard time finding the "start" button. Coffee maker had some issues. We had a (2) weeks stay so more toilet paper, dishwasher soap and garbage bags should have been left in the unit.

It was close to plaza Espana and to the metro station. The support staff of Inside Barcelona apartments deserves kuddos for being extra attentive and going the extra mile.
