Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomUnfortunately on this occasion there was no hot water in our shower room for a few days during our stay...we were offered to use a separate room (4) that had a separate water heating system from that of the other rooms (we used once). Apparently for most rooms the water is heated electrically via a solar panel system presumably via an immersion heater tank/cylinder? It was still quite sunny during our stay in October so it didnt appear to be effective.
This was the 2nd time we booked the small studio (room 2) at this lovely much photographed boutique hotel located in the old town. The studio has separate living area from the bedroom. So plenty of space for both of us. The rooms were spotless as was the shower room where the large towels were changed daily. Its a 2 star hotel so doesnt have many extras such as coffe/tea facilitities in the room although coffee/tea can be purchased via coffee machine on the ground floor (at 1 Euro per cup in an honesty jar). We forgot to bring our kettle..oops. No hair dryer (my wife always brings her own anyway). Patrons are provided with room and hotel entry/exit keys/buzzer activators respectively. The room has a small safe. 24 hour reception is not provided.. receptionists usually finish around early evening (no problem for us)..however the receptionist kindly phoned for a taxi from her home to arrange for us to be uplifted when we were due to leave the hotel at 730am

United KingdomHaving the ability to make a cup of tea or hot drink would have been desirable when we came back during the day to drop all of our shopping off.
The location was fantastic. Everything on our door step in the Marbella Old Town. Room was beautiful and elegant as was the hotel. Breakfast was not included but there was a little place opposite to sit and enjoy a fabulous breakfast. Car parking less than 2 mins walk

United KingdomThe hotel is in the perfect location if you want to stay in the old town. It's on such a picturesque street, only 10 minutes walk from the beach and right in the hear of the main area of the old town. The staff were very friendly and helpful, pointing out the best places to eat and the nicest areas to explore. It was easy to get in and out of the hotel once the staff had gone home for the night and the room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Couldn't fault it!

SpainIt is difficult not o like something of this place. If only, I'd like it were possible to keep bright Marbella morning light out of beautiful room 6.
Location is as perfect as can be. Easy nearby parking on the street free by night and on weekends. Nice surroundings. There's no breakfast in the hotel, but you can easily reach the best spot in town for "churros and chocolate" at Plaza de los Naranjos, the heart of Marbella. Beds are so good that we asked for the place they by the mattress and bought one for home. The owner is a kind and helping person. I love the cozy reading space of room 6.

SpainIf you, like me, are awoken by light, bring your face mask, it is difficult to keep Marbella sunlight out of this bright beautiful room.
The hotel is located in a beautifully redtored old house. The was large and very comfortable. Modern and nice shower. I liked the small cozy "reading" space room 6 has beside the bathroom. The room ceiling is the house original and, if you like restored old houses, spectacular. The combiof fan and air-conditioning refreshes the room very well. Despite being in the lively city center, it was very quiet. The lady in the reception was very kind and welcoming.

The bedroom had it's own small lounge area with 2 comfy chairs and a fridge. The best hotel bed I have ever slept in. Very quiet in the old town, even on the night Spain won the football. Very clean. Staff really helpful.

United KingdomA big bundle of laundry was on the landing throughout our stay. Not a good look and a small thing to fix.
We’d stay here before and returned as this pretty hotel is so lovely. Perfectly located in the Old Town, it’s just a short walk from the (potentially) noisy centre. The rooms are beautiful, light and airy, very comfortable and well-maintained. Friendly staff, very relaxed and relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely be back again! We had rooms 2 and 3 this time, both lovely. We pre-booked parking in the nearby mercado car park (five minutes’ walk) as finding spaces on the street can be tricky.

United KingdomThere were no tea/coffee-making facilities in the room and I did miss this. Tea and coffee were available in the dining room but as I was on the first floor this wasn't a good solution for me.
I would stay here again. Highly recommend it. A wonderful host and in a fantastic location right in the middle of the old town. I wanted a boutique hotel with a Spanish feel and this is exactly what it is.

Excellent location in the Old Town. Traditional Spanish townhouse converted to hotel. Simple, clean rooms. We chose a room with a small terrace, enjoyed relaxing there. Welcoming, helpful staff member at reception.

United KingdomThe bathroom could do with a refresh. We were there in October so I guess its the end of the main season.
The hotel is in a great location, the reception is pleasant and informative. I would definitely stay again. Rooms were basic but clean and considering the central location it was quiet.

DenmarkWe were welcomed by a person who told us what we needed to know - no more, no less. Compared to our experiences in other hotels on our vaciation in Andalucia I was not impressed by the service. it was not unfriendly - it just lacked that little extra that makes you feel welcome. The hotel is easy to fall in love with, so i guess you could live with that.
th hotel is just extremely charming - it looks as on the photos. The beds were spacious and good quality. And it is placed right in the centre of the old part of the city. For some reason Booking.com fails to change the address on their website - which is not the Montenebros as listed, but the main street Ancha 12. We parked in a nearby parking lot - el mercado - and walked for 4 minutes to reach the hotel.
