Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Sweet old hotel at the seafront. Had a small room with wonderful view and two windows. The hole place is a bit run-down though and needs renovation. Staff is friendly. Shocking: the rude "welcome" letter in the room. First sentence: when you smoke the fine will be 195 € for desinfection. Further down it reads: "It's not allowed to access to the room people that are not registered in the hotel." Last but one sentence: "In case not follow the rules, the guest will be expelled from the Hotel without possibility of any refund" - WELCOME TO CHARMING CATALUNIA.....

United KingdomJust a little noisy into the late hours and early morning if you’re a light sleeper as it’s location means you’re on a thoroughfare. Our room was small but ok for the price. I was aware of the lift, but my daughter slept through it all.
Very good location, nice bar/cafe terrace. Good shower and bathroom facilities. Always clean and tidy. Friendly, helpful staff. Our side view of sea and small balcony was nice too!

Excellent value for money for such a central location in the town and immediately in front of the beach. For a 3-Star hotel it met my expectations and most of all the staff were very friendly and helpful (and very good at getting taxis in a town where they seem surprisingly sparse), the bed was comfortable and the facilities were clean.
