Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

EstoniaRooms and hotel in general are a bit worn. There were scratches everywhere, probably the last renovation was many years ago. Common areas are a bit better.
Breakfast had great food selection. Views from the room are great. It is also next to the beach, very easy to go walking. Also a nice walk away from center. We did not use the pool because it was November, but it looked great.

New ZealandIt's far from shops, cafes and restaurants. You have to drive everywhere and parking in the centre of Sitges is challenging. The hotel is looking tired and dated. But good value for money!
The rooms and bathrooms were large! We liked having a balcony. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Close to the beach!

AustraliaRoom tired and in need of renovation. Balcony door didn't lock properly. Bathroom door chipped and stuck. Bathroom old (but working). Wardrobe layout behind entrance door with fire-close means cannot open fully. Pool needed treatment - had green mould all over. Not a 4-start hotel experience- sorry.
Breakfast was excellent - huge variety and fresh: one of the best. Outside bar good - friendly and nice ambiance.

United KingdomJust over the road from the beach. Twenty (ish) minute walk to town. More importantly, only a ten-minute walk to the restaurant Ohana at the nearby camping Sitges. Great food. Lovely family-run place. Hotel staff pleasant and accommodating, especially restaurant when last-minute decision to eat at hotel around 9pm for about 20 of us.

United KingdomThe room was clean but there was a serious problem with the drains in the bathroom and as a result, there was a constant horrible smell in the room. We complained and the cleaners used some bleach, but this unfortunately did nothing.
The pool, bar and garden area is lovely and well kept.

SwitzerlandThe toilets are old and no coffee machine. Expected a bit more from a 4 star hotel.
The hotel is in a calm area of Sigit. One can sleep calmly away from all the parties. Yet it is a walking distance from main attractions. The beach next to it is nice. The staff are helpful.

United KingdomFloors in room were dirty, confused on what was complimentary in the room as well as not sure if we could bring our own food and drinks to sit by the pool. Prices at bar weren’t affordable either. On top of this we were told the 2 welcome drinks could be used on anything at bar but we wanted cocktails and couldn’t, which is fine but we were excited.
Sea view balcony, lovely deep pool (so deep). Reception seating area was nice but no one sat in.

United KingdomWe stayed for a week and I found the breakfast menu never changed in that time - that said it was more than adequate and the lady who generally served at breakfast was friendly and helpful. Likewise room staff were good and pool bar staff friendly. Didn’t find reception staff overly friendly - had a problem with my key card almost daily and had to have this re-programmed each day I stayed (7 days) - only on the last day did someone in reception tell me that if the card was kept by your mobile phone it demagnetised the card - this would have been helpful to know the first time this occurred! However that’s a helpful lesson for future hotel stays anywhere.
The location by the seafront - nice pool area and garden - very relaxing and never crowded - nice pool side bar - although a good walk into town (15 mins), there is a regular local bus service every 30 mins which takes you into the station and the heart of the town. There’s also a local tractor train that regularly goes along the waterfront . Loved the morning walks on the promenade away from the buzz of down town. Nice balcony which had a limited see view but perfectly adequate.

HungaryThe room was too small for a family of four. Even though we were lucky, and got an upgrade (sea-view), I am happy that we only stayed for one night, because it would have been too crowded if we were to spend more time in the room.
