Hostal Triana is at the heart of Madrid's center, which makes it easier to get to all the tourist spots in Madrid from the shopping center of Gran Via to Retiro Park. Metro stops are all over the areas, too, which makes it even easier to navigate this bustling metropolis.

Australia- It was as if the walls were made of paper, you could hear everything outside the room, when trying to sleep at 9-10pm you could hear people talking, entering & exiting - Aircon is ran by a thermometer, can only get under or over 3 degrees to what the hotel owners have set it (if they set it at 23 it can only go to 20 or 26) once it’s detected it’s reached the set temperature it turns off so at night the room would become hot before it turned back on which was super uncomfortable
- Staff were super friendly - Location is unmatched, you’re in the heart of everything - Rooms was super tidy with room cleaning everyday

I booked early and picked the hotel given its cental location and my traveling solo. The hotel is a typical Spanish style hotel with all the amenities I expect and great value for your money. The room was exactly what I expected, small but comfortable and clean. Next door was a very popular restaurant called Takos.

CroatiaIt is a pity that such an excellent hostal does not offer breakfasts and that rooms do not have air conditioning. However, with a fan equipped at the ceiling, even without air-conditioning the hot Madrid summer was still pleasant.
It is a very nice hostal at an excellent location between Puerta del Sol and Gran Via. The room was large, with a comfortable bed and a bathroom. It was spotlessly clean. The stuff was very friendly and it was easy to check in since they have 24 h service.

United KingdomVery noisy, I was situated on the corridor where the bags were kept for those arriving early or leaving later, but also the staff room was next door, walls were paper thin and I could hear very clearly everything outside of the room whether conversation or opening of cupboards etc. Having to guess how to enter the building on my arrival wasn't great, but it wasn't difficult using common sense, however...not everyone does! Might be worth messaging people before they arrive on how to enter the building if the front door is locked.
There is a lot to like about this property. The staff were very friendly. My room ended up being a double room so very spacious, good size bathroom, good shower too. The location & price I think was excellent, literally strides away from Gran Via, minutes away from Sol Square, minutes away from several different metro lines. Very secure, even if old fashioned system of entry. Room was spotless and cleaned daily which was appreciated. Bed very comfy.
