This is a good hostal to stay. The staff is very welcoming and helpful and the location is amazing if planning to visit Plaza España, Gran Vía, Templo de Debod, Cathedral, Royal Palace, etc.. which are all walking distance of less than 30mins which helps avoiding expending in metro and bus tickets and time awaiting for them. The rooms are good, not big but have all what is needed.

Nothing major, only the coffee machine in my room was not working well. Building is old and elevator is super small (can handle one person with luggage)

1. Early Check-in: I have arrived at 10:00 AM and I found that my room was ready. I am really grateful for their cooperation. 2. Check in process was smooth. The receiptionist lady (Barbra) was nice and very welcoming. 3. Location: Amazing location near the metro and downtown (Sol) was walking distance. Lots of shops and a mall is very cloe 4. The room is clean, bedsheets were clean, bed was comfortable 5. Utilities: the room has a mini fridge with water bottle, a t.v and an AC with hot and cold options 6. Toilet: the toilet was clean, equiped with clean towels and basic soups 7. Check out was smooth with options of keeping your luggage

The entrance to the building is being renovated but nothing that would make you feel unsafe. The elevator is a bit slow so do not lose patience and take the stairs as they are quite steep and the hostel is located on the 5th floor. The central heating didnt work (and it was extremely cold outside) so I had to warm up the room using the AC which luckily worked perfectly. Bathwoom-wise, it takes a while for the warm water to reach the tubes so be prepared to wait for 1-2 minutes before the water gets warm enough for shower.

The location of the hostel was perfect as it was 2 minutes away from my place of work. The entrance to the hostel and the building feels safe as you get a code you need to enter in order to enter the building and the hostel. The room was spatious enough, it was impeccably clean and the bed was superb. I was able to open the windows to get some fresh air and there was no noise due to good insulation. The bathroom was clean and pleasant. The TV was enormous. The communication with the staff was perfect. I would definitely come back as I believe I got excellent value for the amount i paid for it.

You can hear neighboring room noise as well as street noise. Bathroom smelled a little musty. No obvious sign for the Hostal. It is located at a brown door and you will need the code to enter building

The windows were facing on one side to a concrete wall and on the other to a patio, I couldn't find a trash bin apart from the one in the bathroom. I had a bit of shower gel, but would advice on bringing your own. It is not very confortable as you can hear everything in the corridors. All in all, it is good for the price

The location is very convenient as it is right next to the metro Arguelles. There are stores nearby, cafes and some bars.

There were stains on the towels, even if I asked that they be changed every day. Also the bed sheets had stains. There could be big improvements regarding the cleaning process.

The location is great, it is very close to a metro station that connects many parts of the city, including the city center. We did the check in online and we could get in without problems after the check in hour (past 8 pm). Confortable beds. We didn't have a room with the view at the boulevard, so it was very quiet at night.

The room's corners might have been cleaned more thoroughly.

The room is very quiet especially regarding the hostal's approximity to the main road of the city district. In order to get into the city center a metro station is very close to the hostal building or you can easily walk. In contrast to many hotels, the room is quite spacious, the bed was comfortable and the room service strictly respects when you don't want room service or new towels every day. You can have both if you want though.

Although these rooms have clearly been renovated, they are starting to show some wear-and-tear. The fridge had a tendency to make a loud clanging noise every hour or so. The shower has no door, so you'll be mopping up splatters after every use. But these are small things and overall, I was very comfortable here for my week of work (conference).

Room had good sound insulation - despite being on a busy street the windows were excellent at blocking the sound and I heard no noise at all from neighbours (this is important to me as I'm a very light sleeper). As others have commented, the building is old, but I thought it had tons of character and quite liked the rickety lift. It was a nice combo of modern room in a character building. It was very handy to have the supermarket at the Corte Ingles just across the road so I could stock up on supplies (they have an excellent bakery and pre-prepared meals section). It is also decent walking distance to a number of parks and sights.
