If you are coming as solo traveller for one or two days it’s fine. For longer period and many accompanying travellers the size is smaller. Plus it’s an old refurbished building. Sometimes it stinks in washroom.

I needed a place for 1 night and although i rather take something more up scale, I had to book this one in order to be with family member that also booked a room there and we wanted to spend the time at same area. The room is tiny. there was a strong smell of detergents, plus, when we arrived there was also a strong smell of fresh paint in the corridor of the building. There is a code to enter the building, a code to enter your floor and a key to enter your room. I came with my young son and he made some noise and the receptionist told him couple of times to keep it quiet. I explained to her the reason for the noise, and said to her that if she wants us to leave we understand. The minute she heard that is the reason she apologized and told us that is perfectly fine for us to stay. so I really thank her for this understanding. My son did not like the room especially the bath tub, because it was old the enamel was scratched in one spot and it looked bad in his eyes... he refused to get in, not before i assured him this is not dirt or anything like it. Overall - the location is very good. The Staff is really nice. The price is right for what you get. ..

The shower space was very small The water got out to the bathroom floor but there was no drain on the bathroom floor(it was sealed!).

Clean. The most comfortable pillow I have ever had in a hotel or a guest house! Access was easy. Very good location. Even though the location is central, the room has a window opening to a duct which makes it calm and quiet.

The booking ad said it had a bathtub, but it didn’t. I didn’t like the air quality of the room. It appeared clean, but I got a reaction, perhaps to the cleaning products.

The building is old, but no issues with the place itself, but don't expect a good view from the window. Also outside, it's a very popular area and noisy, although in the room I could hear nothing.

No shelves, cupboards etc to put your stuff on. Doors to the bathroom and "balcony" didn't close properly.

It was a little warmer in the room and as the only window is in the bathroom and looks out on the space between the buildings, it could not be aired out enough. But it was not a big problem, apart from that everything else was fine.

Location is great, the hosts are very kind, reception is open 24 hours a day. Room was very clean. Room is small, the size is exactly what one person needs to rest, sleep and leave things.

We were in a room overlooking the street and it was very nosy. We expected some noise given location but there were parties and noise all night. Charging to hold bags in a closet all day is a bit much too!

The property was clean, central and the beds were very comfortable. Lots of hot water. Location was very good just off Sol.

The only downside and this is just personal is that it was quite hot in the room. It was cold outside as it was January but inside it was like summer!

Great location, private bathroom was nice. Spotlessly clean and nice decoration with finishing touches like a hairdryer and mirrors. Air con in the room and it was super quiet, you would not know you were above bars in the centre of Madrid!

It is a great place near the Sol (literally 5-10 minutes of walking). There are many interesting places nearby, including the street on which the hostel resides. Also a pub almost next door :)

Because of its location, center Madrid, you have bars at night, so it's a little noisy but not a big deal.

Location is the best !! Near Puertal del Sol, you can walk to Plaza Mayor and other sites easily.
