This hotel could not even bother to answer my requirements to cancel my booking - I informed over a month in advance - my partner had broken up with me and I was no longer travelling to this area. They charged the full amount and never bothered to get in touch or show any kind of decent customer service.

cockroaches! as soon as we opened the room door, we immediately saw a cockroach. and it's a good thing we managed to kill him, otherwise I don't know how I would have slept that night. a day later, when we entered the room, we saw a huge cockroach the size of my palm. when we asked the administration to change the room, we were told that they would be able to help only in the morning. in the morning they refused to change the room, saying that in Spain there are problems with cockroaches and they can crawl in from the street. instead, they promised to treat our room with chemicals and it will help. we spent all the nights in this hostel with the lights on, and I still couldn't sleep peacefully there, for fear of meeting a cockroach on me. there is no one at the reception. I waited half an hour to rent towels. on the last day of the stay, around 10 o'clock in the morning, someone from the staff opened the door. We slept naked. yes, we forgot to lock the door from the inside, but no one has the right to enter a room without making sure that people have already moved out.

The only thing I would say is that it was a little too far from Alicante centre which made it a little bit less attractive.

The room was stunning. I had the arabic themed one and I was gobsmacked! Absolutely loved it. Really spacious bathroom and bedroom. The bed was luxurious!!! Balcony was amazing too. Staff were increfibly nice. Swimming pool super quiet and beautiful with restaura t just next door.

The hotel was very clean the staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant was great. There is a bus 1 min walk from the hotel which makes it easy to get to Alicante and SannJuan beach is very close

Actually, all the staff were so friendly, and the room was very good, we were feeling a lot of safety, warmness, was absolutely amazing our stay there, the restaurant and the food were amazing. Thanks a lot for all of them there

We had to take cold showers on 4 ocassions (we we're only there 2 nights) due to hot water not being available. It appeared that hot water was only available by mid-morning and had run out by the early evening. The room AC unit had been switched off after maintenance and once this was fixed, the next day, then remote control didn't work which meant my wife having to stand on a chair to reach the AC unit control (as I was on a course during the day)

And there were problems to discuss. E.g. the breakfast was included in the price, but it was not registered at the restaurant, and after a phone call, they still wanted to make us pay it again. But could be discussed at reception. At ckeckin in the automat asked 35€, could be discussed next day, but it was needed to be discussed. The english knowledge varied among the receptionists. There were only two type of breakfast (croissant or toast with somethng). That was delicios for 3 days, but for a week it were boring. One evening there was no hot water in the shower. After signing it at the reception, they said they would switch it on, and knocking afterwards. But that did not happen. There was not proper blanket, only the bed cover and the sheet.

We liked the pool really much. In the front garden we could sit down at tables, had some food, drink, talk. The restaurant is in the garden, the athmosphere is friendly. The tram was in the near. Best beach in 20 minutes walk. The staff was nice, problems could be discussed.

There was no vegan food at all, which is a problem around the whole of Spain but many people, in Spain but also from elsewhere around Europe and the world, are becoming vegan because we recognize that we have destroyed the Earth and all our children's futures because of our consumption not just of fossil fuels, but of meat, which is responsible for a huge chunk of global omissions. Moreover, about 9 million people a year globally, a large precentage being young children, die due to malnutrition or hunger. For every calorie of meat produced we feed the animals 9 calories of grain, on average, so if we reduced our meat consumption we would reduce the starvation of children in places like Yemen, Afghanistan, and the whole of the African subcontinent. So let's all make sure we offer vegetarian and vegan options, and while we're at it, let's remember that recycling is actually a thing and many countries do it routinely, all the time. Not so in Spain. Come on guys - we need to work together on this. And by the way, someone needs to tell the Spanish what a tea bag is! I've hardly seen one since I've been here and it makes me feel like doing a chicken dance and then jumping out the window. Beam me up Tetley

The staff was wonderful and friendly. The hostal restaurant had wonderful friendly workers that made u feel welcome. The food was excellent!! 2 min walk from the tram. Beaches in 3 directions.....very pleasant family neighborhood with close groceries store and restaurants with great food!

I go to this little gemm of a place whenever I visit Alicante. The rooms are great value for money, this time I had a room with a balcony which was just divine. The balcony was huge as was the room. The bathroom is incredibly spacious and clean beyond clean. The location is excellent and very easy to reach from the airport by taxi when a late flight. The bar is lovely and welcoming.
