One night a lot of noise echoing through the hotel. One had to always hand in the key to reception when leaving the hotel which was a bit of a pain but conversely made security better.

Great location for exploring Barcelona. Secure and safe.

The accommodation is very basic, so don't expect anything more. Reception area very "cold" and a bit of a strange set up. Kettle and cups in the room are great, but maybe add some spoons to stir with?

The shower dripped a bit onto the floor so the floor got a bit wet and took a while to dry, but not awful.

Excellent location in the gothic quarter. It was a 15 min walk to a metro station. Tons of things to explore and see in the area. My room was perfect for a solo traveller. The window was to an internal ventilation shaft so there is no view or people watching opportunities, but you can get fresh air and it keeps it a bit quieter than it would have been. I like the fact they have to return the keys when you depart for the day because then you have zero worry about losing them while you're out and about. The desk is manned 24/7 so while I had to go up an extra flight of stairs each time as I was one floor down from the main desk, it was no major undertaking. I told them I didn't want cleaning when I turned in my key for the day and my room was left alone as requested. I'd happily stay here again as a solo traveller for a few nights.

Helpful staff and easy check in at 11.20pm with their 24hour reception. The single room had a comfortable double bed and the shower was good. The room was very clean. It was easy to get to, being off the Rambla and a good position for exploring the old city. I would choose it again

Basic and value for money for the location and single room with attached bathroom. The cleaner do their job well, not new but we'll maintained and clean. They also provide luggage storage service for early arrival or later departure.

The walls are very thin and everything can be heard from neighboring rooms, which makes the hotel noisy.

Lift only stopped every 2nd floor, so had to carry luggage upstairs, but thats a minor issue and to be expected - lucky to have a lift at all in this historic area.

Good basic accommodation, very central location for walking around the old town. No breakfast, but lots available very close to the hostal. Many restaurants nearby.

Great position, we could walk everywhere!. Staff extremely helpful and made us feel welcome. Room was clean, well ventilated shower was a good size and beds comfy. This place is nothing flash but has everything you need to have a good rest at the end of a big day.

No sound isolation from the other rooms, you can hear people talking in the rooms around you. Air conditioning was not working, neither was heating. For the price we paid, you could definitely add a small fridge or TV to the room.

Room is very functional. Space is small but very well exploited. Bathroom was small but comfortable, and having a hairdryer is very useful.
