It was very old and didn’t appear to have been updated for a long time. I realized belatedly that a window was cracked open (near stairs). You couldn’t tell if it was day or night. A very simple key for the door to the room.

There was AC, WiFi (albeit weak and unavailable in the lounge), a safe box, and everything functioned. The staff was excellent - friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was more than adequate. WIFI only worked on the ground floor. The Air Conditioning was wonderful. Nice little store right around the corner and lots of tapas places very closely. The neighborhood looked a little scary when I arrived at night but improved a great deal in the day. Easy walk to the metro.

The AC is the only thing imI would complain about, it was kind of warm, it didn’t get cold enough. Everything else for the range of price it is well enough. Beds ok, shower ok, clean ok…. Be advised to check the ac of your room before taking it.. thank you

Somehow I was allergic to the bedsheet... it gave me a pretty bad rash and was very ichy so I could not sleep until I covered the bedsheet with my clothe and slept on it.. I think it was from some chemical in the detergent that was used to wash.. I dont want to judge...as it could be that my skin is quite sensitive. Also..there was no proper blanket (for summer)...just a thin sheet to use..?

The facilites and the room itself were quite ok as a hostal...staff were friendly and the location is ok.

There was a little renovation going on to upgrade the property but no noise as this was done during the day bt there was a few materials in the landings. Also the communal washroom and toilet could do with upgrading.

Shower was very slow to drain but room was spotless clean every day.staff friendly apart from one woman,mature with glasses,who would not say hola or gracias when giving or taking room key.thanks to the youngest man who had actually been to Wales a long time ago

the room was very small and somewhat noise, the room does not have anti-noise window and because is near to a restaurant and bar street it can be quite noise until mid-night.

The hostal offer private rooms with private bathroom, the room was very clean and with air conditioning, it is a good option when considering that it is a hostal.

We loved the location and staff. They were so pleasant and accommodating. They made us feel very comfortable and made our experience even better. It was well connected to the sites and the even some sites were walkable. It is a non refundable €1 by cash only to store your luggage in a locker but can easily fit two potentially three people’s item inside.

- tv didnt work - AC remote didn't work, so i couldnt stop ii and it was pretty cold during the night - I could here everything from all the rooms around

Breakfast was reasonable priced but not very good. The juice was basically coloured water with a bag of sugar thrown in to it. Everything was sweet and plasticky.

I was in Barcelona to see a concert and the location was perfect! Only one and a half kms from the stadium so I could walk back. Also just 15 min walk to Plaza Espanya and Rambla. The Metro station was just 2 mins from the hotel, also loads of lovely restaurants and bars nearby. Accomodation was very basic but fine for sleep and dump your stuff.

The single room had hardly any natural light, just a small window to the skylight, which at first moments seemed terribly depressing. I got used to it during my stay. Also, some of the cleaners always sprayed the room with a smell when cleaning, which was not pleasant and made it hard to air out.

The hostel is in a great location, close to the metro and public transport bus stop. There are also several grocery stores nearby, the nearest one is open until at least 22:00. Montjuic Park and the main street, La Rambla, are within walking distance. The hostel has storage boxes for luggage for 1 euro, which was very useful for me.

The location is excellent, in the center, close to paralel metro station, and there's many supermarkets nearby At night, the whole street turns to an outdoor pub

For the price and location it was excellent for a one night stay. It’s not luxury, but for a really cost effective hotel I could not fault it. Clean crisp sheets and a comfy bed. Loved that it was non smoking.

The free WiFi was patchy, and nearby bars meant there was some noise at night.

Good location, a short walk to the metro, and easily walkable to the Gothic quarter. Bars and restaurants close by.
