Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Isle of ManOur room was upgraded to a "Privilege" room, which was great. However it backed onto the service entrance with lots of vehicles coming and going - they had to reverse on the service ramp which led to a lot of beeping, which did wake us up before 7.00am on some days. "It's like leaving the freezer door open," said my missus! Not sure they can do anything about it, and whilst annoying at times, not a deal breaker.
The complex was huge, but out of season coped well with providing a sense of "busy" without being overwhelmed. The location was great and our sea view room gave us a delightful place to have a coffee before heading to breakfast, looking out towards Fuerteventura. Our group enjoyed the food in the main canteen, and although noisy at times, was a peasant place to eat. Head on through to the back, though! The Piano bar was our go to - it was always pretty full, so we had to tweak our routine for a table, but always got one. Staff were great - prompt service. Room service was ace - always spotless on our return. The hotel also had a volcano next door, that was an easy 5k walk, including a lap of the caldera. It provided stunning views - pack some trainers.

CroatiaSome parts of resort do look a bit tired and are in need of renovation (which is why this is more of a 4 star than a 5 star resort), especially the basketball court and mini golf playground. Although our expectations regarding the food choice and quality was met, there could be a wider variety of meals at lunch and dinner in the Janubio restaurant. Watch out for the signature burgers at the Steakhouse, as the pattys have a lot of herbs in them (touch of local couisine I guess like thyme or sage), which is why there were lot of returns on the evening that we went. The rib eye steak however was cooked to perfection. The WiFi signal is ok, but it is quite slow.
We had a wonderful time at Rubicon Palace resort. There are a lot of pool areas (even for the kids), bars and coffee shops. The food choice was great at the main restaurant Janubio, but be sure to dine in the less desirable time frames, as it easily gets crowded and sometimes it can take time for the waiters to clean the tables and get you your drinks. The espresso at Mike's coffee shop was superb, and the kids were were happy with milkshakes. There is a wide range of drinks and food (+snacks) at the bar on the main pool. Be sure to reserve the theme restaurants (Steakhouse, Dolce Vita and Sakura) couple of days in advance, as there is a lot of demand, especially for the Dolce Vita restaurant which was superb - be sure to try the Porchetta! The staff was polite and proffesional and the rooms were clean. If you're from the Balkans region, be sure to ask for Ugo :)

United KingdomThe meals in the á la carte restaurants, the steak house and the Vulcan , were poor and in my opinion not worth the prices attached to them. Such a shame as it gives the guests extra choices to a buffet style and my expectations were high as they were á la carte in nature. However the quality of food at the Italian restaurant was excellent .Authenticity of flavours is required to pass off as á la carte with a higher price tag. I spent most of my sunbathing time in the chill pool area. There were plenty of other swimming pools that cater for families and teenagers etc unfortunately some children chose to use this pool to jump in and play ball games in . The life guard didn’t ask the parents to move and I get that this is a difficult point to address but it was described as the chill zone !
Super large room, amazingly stylish hotel, super attentive staff, choice of areas to relax in and because I booked through you I was given free access to the spa, and an á la carte meal in the Privilege Restaurant. The hotel gave me a bottle of cava with their compliments to go with another a la carte meal.I felt very well looked after. The bus into town was outside the hotel. The breakfasts in both the buffet restaurants were super too. Lots of fresh produce , variety of breads and pastries plus hot foods and the food areas were always clean and well stocked .

SpainThey are understaffed, so we waited for an hour for drinks at dinner time. The poor waiters were so rushed off their feet, they were doing their best, there were just not enough of them. We were all inclusive, but only had 3 drinks in 3 hours because the service was so slow. There were no choices for vegetarians. Except all the accompanying sides that meat eaters got. Rice, potatoes, salad, vegetables, chips, noodles… just nothing to go with them! After dinner the hotel seemed to close! There was a show room and a bar - but so overcrowded people were sat outside. Couldn’t get served at the bar. There is the piano bar, we waited 45 minutes for a seat - again people were sat in the lobby because there were not enough seats. Waited an hour for a drink (understaffed). No other bars or entertainment were available. This is huge hotel with hundreds of guests. There are not enough bars, choices for evening entertainment or places to go after dinner. There are not enough staff to serve guests. The “theatre” show is only on twice a week. We stayed on a Saturday night and were back in our rooms by 10pm. Disappointed with lack of entertainment. The spa was ok. But having been to other spas on the island it doesn’t compare favourably. The lemon and flower pools had no scents or flowers. They were just pools of water. The jacuzzi and jets were not very powerful, so felt like mild bubbles rather than a jacuzzi. The water wasn’t very warm. So over all felt disappointed and didn’t stay long.
It’s a beautiful hotel which is well maintained and feels palatial in parts! The staff are incredibly friendly, hardworking and helpful. The facilities available are good. The layout of the complex feels like a small village. It is beautifully designed. There are several places to eat throughout the day. The pools are lovely and clean, well designed.

United KingdomThere was nothing not to like. Although, sometimes the service in the bar could be a bit slow getting drinks which was a little bit frustrating, but other than that I really can't fault it.
The staff were amazing, really attentive and guest relations went above and beyond to ensure my stay was the best it could be and that all my needs were catered to and met. I have never had an experience to the level of care they have me before and it was lovely to receive such superb customer service throughout my stay.
