Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Personal is super frendly and helpful. Everyone, beginning from the Front Desk with amazing Alina till the housekeeping were incredibly nice- and made us feel like home. First time in my experience nobody insisted on cheking out strictly on time. I should separately mention the consierge Nuria- because of her we discovered amazing places in Madrid. Rooms are clean, fresh and pleasant to stay.

ChinaThe room was a bit small. The housekeeping is not always consistent: sometimes the room was cleaned but the used coffee cups were not cleaned or replaced, or the new bottles of water were missing so we had to call for new ones.
The location is perfect, only a few minutes walk from Puerta del Sol, in a very quiet street. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We tried the breakfast and it was excellent.

South AfricaThe rooms are strangely proportioned, including prized room space devoted to a stand alone bath that must hardly ever get use — and close space is limited and is located on the bathroom. The house keeping staff were attentive but never left enough water bottles, teas or drinking glasses — weird. We didn’t take the expensive breakfast option but did eat breakfast at the hotel on one morning — reasonable, but limited fare and it would have been dull to face that daily.
Very well located in Centro. The hotel is well appointed and has charm. Stunning shower and very comfortable beds. Beautiful bar. Hotel is quite despite being in the heart of bar land.

Went on a trip with my daughter and absolutely loved this hotel. location is amazing and just off a street with many large branded 5 star hotels, which ask way more money. Many attractions are walkable (we went Prado and Thyssen museum) and the staff is absolutely amazing. Cocktails/drinks were great and the breakfast was great

Luxury hotel in a central location with a lot of history made our stay feel more special. Staff very welcoming. Room nicely decorated, spacious, bathroom amazing. Lobby was great to hang out in with added bonus of live music in the evening. Food in the hotel was of good quality.
