The Italian restaurant on-site is not worth it - it's mediocre and the staff were not very kind or capable, just stick to the buffet. The other restaurant is only open on Fridays, so it's really just the one location for meals. The alcohol for the all-inclusive is not the greatest standard, it's all you can drink, so it's not exactly top shelf stuff, and if you want anything more than a cheap beer or a gin and tonic, you'd have to pay. I would have appreciated higher quality. The adult-only area is fine, but it's on the north side of the buildings, so there is no view, just looking at the back of buildings, which isn't great if you spend most of your time there.

The greeting from the reception staff - particularly Jorge - was lovely. Very thorough an friendly. The buffet was fine, some nights were tastier than others, but lots to choose from. I was very thankful for the adults-only pool area.

Breakfast was not great, cereal options were not good and very bland, and just didn’t enjoy the food during that meal. Rest of the food was great at lunch and dinner however!! Floors in the room was a little dirty - only noticed once getting out the shower and my feet being dirty within 5 minutes of not going outside! Not a deal breaker however everything else was immaculate, just something note.

Amazing room, actually one of the best I’ve ever stayed in so much space and the bathroom had a bath and shower separate which I liked. Pool was lovely, staff were very nice, attentive and professional. Entertainment was great, food was good and table service excellent. Free parking and a room to shower in before we left for the airport at 5pm as we needed to check out at 10/11am so this was a nice touch to use facilities still. Would definitely recommend and would look to stay here again in future.

Because of calima there was a lot of cockroaches, but the staff was handling the situation very well. Apparently the whole island has the same problem. Just be careful not to take one home in the language.

We have stayed in Merlin's room which was very good choice since the kids didn't want to leave the room and wanted to play with the castle. Kids swimming pool was quite fun for them, and most of our stay we have stayed in Castleland area. The room was big and comfortable with big balcony which has the foldable drying rack. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they are trying their best to provide the guests comfortable and enjoyable stay, on the other hand the food is bland, if you eat the the desert it has the same taste just different colours, and the main dishes are like hospital food no taste whatsoever. It is very surprising considering that the staff is trying to make your stay great and the restaurant staff is quite well handling all the hustle and mess that is happening in the main restaurant. This is typical tourist resort, crowded and loud, whit everything you need to have fun during your holidays. There is kids and baby club, 5D cinema, playground, entertainment and sports area, shops, bars, swimming pools of course and evening entertainment. The hotel is also able to book you excursions if you fancy going out of the resort and to see some culture of the island. Across the hill there are Papagayo beaches and there is also a beach in front of the resort. The resort is at the far end of the Playa Blanca so if you do not want to walk very long you do need to use a taxi or a car to go to center of town.

The evening entertainment was good 2out of 7 nights after the mini disco so that was a little bit of a let down. The buffet was Italian 4 out of 7 nights which after the first 2 nights is a bit rubbish. The food was good the first few days but after that is was just the same and then you find yourself a bit lost for what to get. The pools say a couple are heated but they really don’t feel like it haha.

We stayed in a Merlin room which was great for the kids 5+3. Loved the swimming pools. The mini disco in the evening was really good for the kids. The hotel itself was really nice and in a nice little location.

The pool and restaurant could get a bit crowded, and so is the queue for drinks/food at the bar. Restaurant food was good, but a bit repetitive, especially the desserts. There is an evening event for the children on Friday night but it's an extra 20€ per child and doesn't include particular entertainment. Friday night is also the only night when the adult only restaurant is open, and both events are not included. Usually this kind of arrangement is part of the all included plan. The kids party should provide something more as a paid event. Other than that we were generally happy with what the hotel had to offer.

Great location at the end of Playa Blanca, we had a very large room with 2 walk in wardrobes and a stunning ocean view (ocean view suite) . Very clean and extremely comfortable beds. There is a nice sandy beach just outside the hotel. We liked the entertainment team and the games by the pool, the team is genuinely friendly and fun and always finds a way to involve everyone. Our children particularly enjoyed the evening shows, and the complimentary 5D cinema experience. Check-in/out was very fast, there was never a queue at the reception. They have all the important information summarised in one piece of paper and they don't need to explain for hours how the hotel works.

Sunbeds taken before 10am even though there is a sign telling people not to reserve, thankfully staff were happy to find us beds and a space. Some of the pools were freezing.

Staff were very nice and helpful. Shout out to Zac from animations team super friendly and always happy to answer questions. A lot of pools to choose from .Rooms were very spacious. Hotel is very family orientated and there is always something to do for the kids. Food was nice and fresh and lots of options for the picky eaters I.e my youngest.

Food only alright, no salt and pepper or condiments on table. No coffee at dinner have to go to bar which is miles away. Kids club pretty non existent from what I could see. Not enough lounger at pool so if you don't get one early you can't really use the pool. Outside that really enjoyed our stay.

Staff were excellent, food quality would be 3 star standard but outside that really enjoyed the hotel. Nice location.

The parking is quite small compared to the size of the hotel. Getting around the (big) resort is quite difficult at first, the indications could be a bit more clear. The location is more isolated than it could seem from Google Maps.
