Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNo staff on site except for cleaning crew in the am. However, the staff was available and responded via WhatsApp when needed. The hotel is part of a property that includes a restaurant with live music Wed-Sun. This was disclosed at time of making reservation. It did not bother me , but it is loud and you may not be able to sleep until past midnight. My main concern was that those attending the restaurant have access to the building where the rooms are even though the main entrance to the “hotel” has a code to enter at the main door. This to me was a great safety concern as a solo traveler and no staff on site. Also no elevator.
Great location steps from the Cathedral and the Alcazar. Good price, has a coffee available in the am.

AustraliaThis is not the place to go if you want a nice quiet stay. Arrived at 2pm just wanting to unpack and relax before hitting the streets no such luck. Description mentions some noise but this was extreme. Sounded like a night club downstairs and in our room. Left and came back at 5 still thumping so left again returned at 10:30pm much quieter with some music but at a liveable volume. Oh and you just get a bed and bathroom nothing extra no tea or coffee making facilities, no drinks etc.
Bed was comfortable and the room clean. Very stylish. Good location

CanadaThe noise from the street. There were no separate toiletries in the shower. Had to use the handsoap placed by the BR sink as shampoo and shower gel. The accessory cushions on the bed smell like old people's armoir. I had to place them in the corner.
There was no breakfast. Location was very convenient for me.

Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Great location. Even thought, the negative comments about noise, I have to say the property advised us in advanced and it was accordingly with the hours.

AustraliaI thought it was a hotel when I booked. There are no staff in duty over the weekend. We were sent entry codes, which was OK, but then no lift to get bags up the stairs. There is a restaurant/ nightclub that seems to be attached to the hotel but is probably an independent business. Staff here were no help at all to us staying in the hotel and actually tried to outrun us up the stairs as we were moving our bags (private rooms upstairs also being part of the restaurant). We were actively discouraged from coming into this section of the establishment. Noise continued until about 11.30 pm, which is to be expected in Spain, and did end abruptly after that.
The location is very good and the rooms are well appointed.

SwedenNo staff at all, everything works with large numerical codes, which is very inconvenient since you need to check your phone and type in the code every time you want to enter. The shower curtains doesn't hold the water in and a puddle was formed after my first shower. It was very unsanitary and ruined the cleanliness score, which would have been great if it wasn't for this.
Location, value for money and modern facilities. I've seen reviews complaining about live music. I stayed saturday-sunday and the music was over when I arrived around 12:30, which is perfectly fine for a hotel downtown on a weekend. These people should manage their expectations.

United KingdomThe hotel envelops a tapas bar so you have to squeeze through to access the stairs . We only stayed one night and it was a Saturday- there was live music on from arriving at 4pm until 2.30am and it was deafening. You need to either join in or take earplugs- i can’t comment if this is every night or we were just unlucky . It’s a shame really as other than that it’s all positive but the noise is a massive negative. No good for families or anyone who wants an early night!
Great location in the heart of the historic centre - we were given all pass codes in advance so we didn’t engage with any staff . Cosy room with comfy beds - we were room only

RussiaSo there is no lift at the hotel and you will need to use the stairs, which with huge and heavy bags might be a bit unpleasant. Our room lacked hooks and chairs so we had problem putting things like bathrobes and stuff around the room. There was one dirty towel and the wc could have been a bit cleaner. Although I really liked the scent in the closet and bathroom, it was a bit strong as you enter the room (imho) There were only 2 hangers, which could also be uncomfy. Even though the position of the hotel is literally the heart of Córdoba, mind that during the weekend, it can get very noisy outside so for those, who have sleeping issues, it might be a disadvantage.
The room was very nice with the old furniture and thick beautiful curtains. The bathroom was simple but functional; it even had a bidet (!). There was one long (but soft)pillow for 2 and all in all, a comfy bed. We really appreciated the responsibility of the staff who contacted us in advance with all the guidelines necessary.
