Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Italy-The parking facility of the hotel was a bit expensive. (No one mentioned but there is free parking area available on the street next to the hotel which was convenient but one has to get lucky to find a space,as the locals also park here!) -Walls of the room is too thin so every noise can be heard from the corridor. Sadly we woke up to the many door slams of the other guests and also for the sound of the cleaning. Once a cleaner also rumped into our room when she realized we are still inside. Not very pro. -The pool&bar on the rooftop ( which is why we choose this hotel at the first place) were closed for the guests on a Friday and the reception "forgot" to mention this well in advance. But when we asked if we could still go up a little to chill (without going into the pool) and kindly requested 2 sunbeds to be also given (which belonged to the terrace but none of them was put out) the stuff was not so happy for our request which we found very unprofessional = their photos promotes their pool & bar all over the webpage but we found this very misleading if the pool is often not available. -Also, we were asked by the receptionist how long we wish to go up because actually there will be an event later and so we were told that even if we go up to the poolside, anyway we need to leave the roof soon, to avoid disturbing the party?! I think that any traveller would found this level of hospitality very unprofessional towards guests who paid for longer stays vs. the party people who only come to party (and from outside) yet still being favoured. We think that in a 4 STAR HOTEL, staying guests should get the most priority, that is why it is called a HOTEL and not a disco?!! If it was a disco, we would not go here with my husband to try to relax neither ask for a dancefloor to sleep on it and even have the benefit of given more priority than the dancers?? How us, normal tourists, sleeping on the dancefloor would make the dancers feel in a disco?!
It has a modern but simply designed room with a comfortable bed and a private shower. Also close to the center of Gijon and everything in 20-30 minutes walking distance.

United StatesI did not appreciate that we couldn’t access the terrace because there was a private event. The terrace was one of the primary reasons I selected the hotel.
The hotel is very nice and in a good location.

United Kingdom1.No kettle/tea/coffee in room. 2.Could not find any info in room about hotel facilities. Also checked on room TV without success. 3. We like Spain and Spanish people but would have appreciated an English speaking channel on the TV.
Location next to beach. Good parking. Good restaurant. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds.

United KingdomWe didn't have breakfast at the hotel as it was too expensive.
We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Bedroom was huge, comfy and clean. Bathroom/shower was great too. Staff at the reception desk were very helpful and they recommended a restaurant in the old harbour in which we had a great dinner. Very close to the beach and the city centre, and just a walk away from the old town (around 30 mins). Easy and free parking on the street nearby.

United KingdomThere was no coffee making facilities in the room, which is not the end of the world, but I have come to expect that when staying away in hotels. Room service and restaurant do not open until 8.30, which could be a challenge with young children, however, I think this is fairly standard for the area.
All the staff were polite and very helpful, the breakfast options were extensive, staff attentive and proactive, I had an omelette cooked to order both mornings, would highly recommend. The room was clean, the ensuite and shower was top draw, very powerful which I like.

Turkeycentral location, you come out of the hotel, you reach the center with a wonderful coastal walking path, there are dozens of cafes, bars, patisseries and restaurants on the way, one of them is named sidreria asturias.hotel side street has dozens of free parking opportunities. If there is no place, there is an open area opposite the hotel where you can park your car for 3 euro all day. The hotel smells like clean, it breathes. There is a bar and swimming pool at the top. The food is delicious. Even though it's full of time, if you can find a place, it's a super hotel where you get what you pay for.

IrelandThey have a rooftop bar, which looks amazing. It was closed to guests on Saturday, went back up Sunday night and it was closed too. Pool was closed to guests all afternoon for a private party. Downstairs bar and restaurant was closed to guests also on Saturday night for another event. So the only option was to leave the hotel. Which isn't a bad thing as theirs lovely bars and hotels close by.
Spotless very friendly and helpful staff. Cleaners had the hotel spotless. Right beside an amazing beach. .Shops, bars, and restaurants close by. Hasn't been overrun by Irish and English. The town is so clean as is the beach. Food is superb. Most people speak no English.
