Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location was great! The female dorm was big enough and had storage space under the beds. The beds were actually pretty comfortable and sturdy enough. I also liked that there were sockets near the bed. The shower and toilet were in the room, which I also liked. The people working reception were also kind and accomodating. The rooftop bar was also nice. Supermarket and lots of restaurants in the area. Lots of the main sightseeing areas are nearby.

The place is cozy, with a common area good for lounging and working. The beds were quite comfortable with outlets and lights, and also with lockable lockers with sufficient space. The bathroom was clean and corridors were well navigatable. The rooftop also was good to lounge at.

MacaoThe facilities are limited, no self-laundary serivce, the room is small, not even enough for opening the luggage. Long waiting time for check in, even we had self-online check in in thier official website.
The location is good, near Gran Via and metro. A lot of good restaurants and bars nearby.The staff on the morning (Aug 20) we checked out is super nice, he is patient and told us the details about sending postcards.

United KingdomThe staff were very temperamental. Some staff looked like they really didn't want to be there and came across very aloof and unapproachable. Kudos to Nick from Miami who made an effort to come and chat to us. Other staff please take note. It really doesn't hurt to acknowledge guests and give them a smile once in a while! Also, a shame the hot tubs were out of use.
A really cool and funky hostel! I was really impressed with the aesthetics of the accommodation. The roof top bar was amazing! Great drinks and a lovely place to spend the evening. Brilliant location, walking distance to so many restaurants and beauty spots.

Location was perfect 👌🏼 Right in the middle of the city, it was easy to move around the city and almost everything on walking distance. My family and I enjoyed the breakfast buffet; basic things but the essential. The lift was very convenient. We asked for transport from the hotel to MAD airport, taxi arrived in 5 minutes with a fixed price of €33; host solved it in a minute and she was very efficient. The room was a bit packed for 4 people, but we only used it to sleep, no biggie. Beds were comfortable, even the bunk bed. Highly recommended!
