Rooms need some update. Furniture very old and also bathroom. Service in the restaurant was very slow, we had to always ask for mugs, small spoons, glass....every each time. Check out was at 12 hours but since 11 they were knocking on our doors to clean the room , even we left outside "Do kot disturb sign". Walls very thin, you could hear your neighbour very clear. Also we were connected with the doors with next room and that was just too much noise to deal with. Young girls arriving at 3 a.m. all laughing and talking. We did not sleep much. Not the best place to rest .....

The view was the best part. Also it is very centric and close to the beach.

Breakfast and supper were included as per our choice. While breakfast was decent with good variety, supper was more mediocre. Also, there was an adjoining room with a locked door. Zero insulation. We could hear every word and sound. Management has to invest in adequate insulation.

We loved the location, and the sea view was stunning. We woke to the sound of the waves every morning. Was also right on Calella beach and the closest hotel to the Main Street and the old part of town. Staff was courteous and helpful, special thanks to Karen! She was very kind and patient!

Dated bathrooms. No hotel bar open. Walls are thin, needed earplugs - especially the cleaners who were very loud moving furniture around etc.

The best thing about this hotel is the location and the sea views. Easy to walk to bars/restaurants.

Very noisy, and our room had a door leading to the room next door. We came in April, when it's still not too busy and the hotel is very noisy, making it difficult to sleep.

It is an old hotel that need refurbishment. The cleaning is really bad, the toilet is old and bad maintained. The house keeping is rude. 10 minutes before the check out they know our door asking us to live the room "immediately". In general the hotel is a bad experience that is passable only because it is in a nice location.

It is in front of the beach, and our room had sea view. The room is spacey, and the hotel is near the main restaurants street and in front of the beach.

For the money I felt that I got more than enough

This hotel is perfectly located for the Ironman event. Great views from the balcony and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel as great value for money.

The air-conditioning system is outdated nd slow to cool down the room.. The standard double rooms dont have a terrace !!!

Nothing other than a couple of the hot breakfast dishes weren't the best but plenty of other things to choose (the scrambled egg was excellent) and an occasional slight drainage smell in the bathroom, but this seems to be common in Calella.

Having stayed at 3 different hotels previously in Calella, I thought I'd give the Garbi a go as they were offering a good deal which included both breakfast and dinner with a sea view. Any concerns I might have had from reading some other reviews here were quickly dispelled with a friendly welcome, a decent sized room and a great view, good lighting and a large comfy bed. The buffet dinner was far better than anything I was expecting, with lots of choice (the meatballs were excellent) and hot which is not always the case with hotel buffets, and a great range of desserts. Breakfast also had a great choice, though the hot food wasn't quite up to dinner standard, the pastries were tasty and fresh and good coffee. If or when I return to Calella, if there's a similar deal I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Fully booked so got upgraded to rooms with our own rooftop balconies. The location was great, rooms nice and clean, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was good.
