Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Egypt1-The room is very small 2-No electric kettle and when we asked the 3-receptionist he replied with "we don't have such these electric device"!!!! 4-The elevator was not in good condition .it was accidentally stopped while we were inside between two floors.

United KingdomEverything was good. I found the bed a little sunk so my back hurt a bit although fine for my son. I struggled with the heat of the room, but got used to it after a few days.
The staff were very helpful and could answer any questions. The location was amazing with everything on our doorstep. We were so close to lots of metro stations and many bus roots. We could also walk to many attractions. There were so many places to eat on our doorstep than my son could go and find places alone. We were also relight in the middle of all the shops if that is what you are looking for.

ItalyIt was always too cold, both in the hallway and in the room itself. We never found a way to turn the air conditioning off, so we had to cover ourselves with thick comforters pretty much all the time. Shared balcony with another room.
Perfect, central location, overlooking the metro station and close to everything. The room was nice and clean, quiet, supplied with all the commodities we needed. Friendly and polite staff. The positioning was ideal.

United KingdomThe air conditioning worked very poorly so the room was very warm at night, and the air outside was so hot we couldn’t really allow ourselves to open the windows to re-fresh the air. In the morning the washing machine was close to our room and work us up a few times but that only happened if we were sleeping in.
The location was great for walking and seeing Barcelona on foot. It was also fantastic for public transport for getting around the city so 10/10 would recommend! The staff were responsive, and the short opening hours of the reception weren’t a problem. The check in instructions outside the reception opening hours were also straightforward. The housekeeping standards varied day to day, but there was one excellent person who turned our room around wonderfully and with a lot of care and attention which was a lovely surprise. The mattresses were very comfortable. Our towels got changed once during the stay. There was a fridge in the room, which wasn’t very cold but definitely a bonus! The room was small, but the lighting made it feel more spacious. The bathroom had large shower, and a make up mirror which was also a bonus and unexpected! They clearly thought about the details within the small space which for the price was unexpected and lovely!
