Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe booked all inclusive but there was a charge for some items and premium drinks. This was a surprise and had been implemented after our booking was made. The food was the same and not very inspiring or exciting. If I was going again I'd book Bed and Breakfast as there is so many better options outside the hotel.
The location is ideal for restaurants, bars and walks along the promenade between Fanabe and Las Americas. The bar areas are nice and well attended with adequate staff numbers. Staff are all very pleasant and polite. Rooms are cleaned everyday and the shower is very powerful.

United KingdomThe room was not very clean when we arrived. However staff cleaned it and gave us a complementary treat to apologize. The pools on the rooftop were not always cleaned very well. WIFI on room 1156 does not work very well unfortunately. No instructions on how to find gym, spa, elevators for rooftop etc. 2 separate beds in the room put together - it was not comfy.
There are more than 3 pools - 2 adults only on the rooftop and also a nudist part. Quality of food at the buffet was good majority of the time. Staff very polite and helpful. Free access to the gym with water and towels. Shows and events were good and well planned.

United KingdomThey start doing kids entertainment by the downstairs pool in the evenings - not much fun if your balcony faces that way & you have to listen to Baby Shark being mimed to by a guy in a cow costume…
Love this hotel! The rooftop is adults only with gorgeous views & plunge pools - it’s such a lovely place to relax. The buffet breakfast is amazing - such a lot of high quality choice. The rooms are super clean & comfy too.

The location is great and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The animation team by the pool were all enthusiastic and keen and made you want to join in and enjoy the games. The rooftop adults only solarium was fab for those who wanted a quieter sunbathe.

United KingdomThe fact that there wasn’t an adults only swimming pool as the ones on the roof were only dip pools.
We liked the location and have previously stayed at other GF hotels including GF Isabel and GF Gran. We were bed and breakfast and there was a good choice of food. We also liked the adults only area on the roof.

Although a little dated in appearance, rooms were comfortable and spotless. Lucky enough to have 4th floor sunny side.

United KingdomWe were given a tatty cot to put our baby in which was a bit disappointing but not terrible. Also, there they have entertainment in the evening in their courtyard and it goes on late into the evening/night and is very loud. If you have children that you want to sleep early then make sure to ask for a room far away from the entrance of the hotel.
The hotel and rooms was clean and well laid out. It has a lot of amenities such as a salon, little food shop, gym, swimming pools, bars, games area and even a jewellery shop! Baby pool was nice and warm. Lots of events for children. Good place to stay for kids. We tried the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets and they were all really nice, especially the desserts! Don't expect lots of changes in menus though, but it's all nice.

Germany- The bar did not accept cash (EUR). - The terrace door was broken. It was open the whole stay. And it was easy to get to our room if one wanted. - The safe was broken.
We were in this hotel for one night. - The staff was very helpful. - We accidentally lost an expensive device in the hotel. We did not even notice it until the staff called us. We were happy to pick it up the same day.

IrelandNothing really major, just a few things to improve: The food at the pool bar is not nice at all; they have fresh real fruit for the buffet but not for any cocktails (this is all around Tenerife, not just at the hotel, but would be nice for the hotel to make an easy effort to change this as they HAVE real fresh fruit available); the pillows are not comfy (this was a general feeling from the whole group).
We were a big family group travelling together from Ireland (6 teenagers and 8 adults). Rooms: My husband and I booked a Suite for ourselves (HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT), we had a mini fridge, a huge balcony with ocean and mountain views, a big jacuzzi/hobtub, lots of space and storage space, #amazing. All the other rooms were also very big, clean and comfortable. Location: The hotel's location was perfect (close to the beach, stores, 4 different malls, restaurants and bars); Hotel in general: most of the staff is very VERY nice and always helpful (I could count like only 3 not nice ones from a bunch of 50); meals are buffet style which is perfect as you can serve yourself as many times as you want and they change a few things every day; the hotel has different activities for kids and adults every day; you get free pool towels for your whole stay;the hotel has a whole area for kids with a mini arcade, a spa, a shop (very reasonable prices), 5 pools (2 for kids, 2 just for adults, 1 general pool) and a hair salon. I highly recommend getting the half board package as it gives you the breakfast and 1 other meal (lunch or dinner) otherwise lunch per person its 22 euro and for dinner 25 euro, no drinks included (but you can find great restaurants around for way less than that).
