Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

very helpful staff member helped us by calling police for us regarding a lost bag as we don't know any Spanish. Easy regular bus into the old centre or a 35 minute flat walk

We took bus into the city (super easy and only took 20 mins) and in evening hotel was close to shops and a few bars. Room was perfect, spacious and comfortable. Had everything you needed. Great stay

United KingdomMini bar not sufficiently stocked, nor was it stocked with the items listed when accessing the QR code. No tea or coffee making facilities, which would have been welcome following a very long drive. Air conditioning not working correctly as couldn't regulate to a cool enough temperature in room, which wasn't great after a warm day.
Comfort, size of room, helpful staff. Underground secure parking was a positive, although a little pricy, and maybe could have been discounted for booking a room with the hotel. Breakfast restaurant was clean and tidy, with a varied selection of food and drinks.

SwitzerlandThis is an industrial size train station, so there should be more signs indicating the entrance from inside the station. The staff do not seem to understand the difference between a long distance and a short distance to places outside of the hotel. Serious level of miscommunication. They speak English but clearly do not understand neither what they are saying nor what clients are saying.

United KingdomAccessing the parking was a-bit of a nightmare as it’s under the hotel and under the bus and rail station. I was told there was a direct lift in to the hotel from the car park but it was out of order and there were no signs to tell you which stair way was the right one for the hotel as they are all signed fire exit.
Very clean and comfortable and helpful staff. The rooms were very spacious.

Netherlands1. The hotel changed location, but the old location still says 'hotel' and no clear directions are indicated to the new location. This caused me quite some stress. 2. I asked for a quiet room, not on street side. I got a room with two busy roads within 100 m of my window. 3. Given 2, it is understandable that windows can not be opened. But I do not like this kind of imprisonment. 4. The breakfast is very good, except for the 'cafe americano'. Suggest a double expresso instead.
For me location (at the train station) was excellent. Staff was friendly, room was clean, an overall good breakfast.

1. Hotel being above Zaragoza Train Station makes it convenient for us as we arrived by train from Barcelona-Sants and the next day, we are picking our car rental at Zaragoza station. 2. To get to the town centre, there’s bus 24 right at the station. Super convenient.
