Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicThe toilet is quite small, that's not a problem at all, but right next to the toilet, in the height you're supposed to sit, there is toilet paper holder which makes it very uncomfortable. Bigger people will have to sit rotated.
The staff is really friendly, hotel is clean, nice and good for children. The playground and pools are amazing.

LithuaniaOnly hotel that we have been in where half board stay did not include complementary table water for dinner, you had to pay for bottled water each time. Also size of the rooms for family/junior suites is quite small, we barely had walking space if all beds for kids are pulled out. And the breakfast was the same everyday with very limited options.
Staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and cozy. Pool area was not overcrowded so we always had sunbeds available. There is also a nice play area for the kids. Dinner options were also changing each day and food quality was quite good. Gluten free options were available for breakfast upon request. Overall we were satisfied with our stay.

United KingdomThe cold food was lovely but the hot food was either cold or just warm and it was a shame because some of it had a lovely flavour but also there was some very strange combinations of food for breakfast for example corn on the cob, onion rings we were told it was what was left over from dinner the night before and I’m sorry but you expect better for breakfast in a four star hotel
Loved everything about hotel the room was very good had everything you needed all the staff were very nice friendly and helpful and everywhere was very clean there was work going on in the hotel but it did not impact on our stay at all.

United KingdomWe were half board and didn’t feel the food was great for us personally and struggled for breakfast with our little boy other than toast and pancakes.
Being so central to the harbour and the beach was really great. The pool area is fantastic and having a play area was great for our little boy who loved it.

Switzerland-extrem noisy location, Latino music until midnight. -very classic breakfast like 20 years ago. very ugly artificial juices, cold scrambled eggs, gummy bacon, dry cheese… I know it’s difficult because average overweight tourist expect all you can eat buffet. but just make one good dish instead of 15 very low quality options.
+friendly and efficient staff +fair prices +clean and big flat +sustainable: no stupid plastic bottles and Hotel sandals

Great location and facilities for a young family. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was lovely, we didn't have any issues with getting a lounger for the day, and the pool bar was great! A very relaxing break for us all.

FranceCleanliness wasn't good! One day there was even a child poop near to the pool and they took 1 hour to clean it, even after adverted by some guests. Dishes on the dining room were not clean! Water on the pools were not very clean. Unsatisfying opening hours of the pool area. It works from 10:30 to 18:00, exactly when you are out of the hotel visiting the beaches. It would be nice to be able to enjoy the pool after a beach day.
Awesome structure on the hotel, top breakfast and dinner. Food was amazing. Hotel structure is really nice.

United KingdomCash deposit for towel; signing for drinks.
JS Hotels totally refurbed this hotel during the pandemic (what a great use of the time) and it's a spotless, gleaming 4* affair with brilliant suite-style all-balcony accommodation including super new bathrooms and high-quality furnishings which is replicated in all the public spaces including spotless bars and pool area. Breakfast and dinner selection very good indeed - plenty of choice and very tasty. Only marked down really due to a couple of oddities like needing a cash deposit for a pool towel and having to sign for every drink (sorry but I use my debit card for everything these days - it's the 21st century!). Not the hotel's fault but my stay was spoiled by the cash issue and an ATM glitch which took a week to resolve. Bus stop for everywhere - charming little Felanitx, Cala D'Or and Portocristo - right outside the hotel too and the area's best beach (if busy) is a mere ten minute stroll away. The resort itself is not scruffy as some suggest - it's quite charming in an undeveloped kind of way with more than a couple quality restaurants and bars a short walk away. A brilliant walk to the lighthouse on the other side of the bay revealed three tiny coves with beaches (one a blue flag) with good swimming and a lovely church square cafe.

United KingdomWould have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in our rooms and maybe a bottle of water for the first night. There wasn't an iron in your room either, they did have an ironing room on the ground floor though. Also slightly odd, the light on the balcony stayed on all night. It wasn't too distracting as the curtains were heavy, but if you wanted to sit out in the evening the light was very bright. You had to pay 10 euro refundable deposit to hire a beach towel, and every time you wanted it changing you had to pay another 2.50 euro Despite there being a safe in the room, if you wanted to use it, that too had to be paid for - I didn't use it so not sure how much that would have been.
I had room 409 which faced the pool, took me a minute to work out the pool 'across the road' was our pool!! The room was great - spacious, clean and very quiet. Their breakfasts were fantastic. There was everything you could possibly want - cooked, continental, fruit, cereal, pancakes the works. There was a little extendable rack for drying clothes/swim things on the balcony, that was a great touch.
